  1. Three promotions, Scottish Cup semi final etc etc......however, John Lambie is nowhere near the front of the queue for having a stand named after him. Can't understand anyone nominating Lambie before McParland. McParland's loyalty is pretty much unmatched, whilst Lambie's is questionable for me. (the way he engineered the move to Falkirk whilst selling them some of our best players, then leaving an absolute incompetent in charge in 2003). Not for me.
  2. Christie is exactly the type of player we need in this league in the position he plays. Defends well, speed and strength to support attacks and fitness to get back into position, proved that he can deliver great crosses into the box, good at man-marking, good passer of the ball and generally finds a Thistle player. Sorry for mentioning his speed, strength and fitness but I feel it's a huge asset to his game, plus I also mentioned his passing and crossing.
  3. Yesterday and Thursday night had been coming. It had been obvious for weeks. We just hadn't come up against anyone really capable of wiping the floor with us until Aberdeen and Celtic. The mood at the club was clear from the final whistle v Motherwell. Season was done, it was blatant from the daft hashtags, twitter releases from the club, the mood of most fans (I think). As a support we should have been demanding more and more, but we settled for 6th, so the players did too. Great season but the split was a bad thing for us this year. Foot came right off the gas. That team is capable of more and if the pressure had still been on the players would have kept up the standard I believe.
  4. Still 20 mins to go here. **** sake. Do very well to prevent a worse defeat than the 1993 shocker.
  5. The whole club chucked it after the Motherwell game. Fans included. We should have targeted Europe and if we come up short fair enough, but the tools went away after Motherwell
  6. Booth is a ****** nightmare at times. 2nd stupid penalty he's given away against the tims in 2 games. He's not sharp enough against quicker players
  7. I won't be there but i'm hoping the entire Thistle support are booing throughout their display and from the start to the end of their shite chant.
  8. It's crystal clear that Archie has done a far better job at Thistle than Alex Neil ever did at Hamilton Accies. How he got the Norwich job still puzzles me. However, it shows that these jobs are realistic for guys like that. I'd like to see Archie hang on until one of the top 30 clubs in England want him. That should be his target and I think it's achievable. Nobody would have any complaints if he left to go to someone like Leeds, Sheffield Wednesday, even Preston North End
  9. Depends who we get in the Europa League qualifiers
  10. I've been pissed off since watching that game yesterday. Something positive, however, is how a 2-0 defeat at Ibrox is now seen as such a disappointment. Shows how far we've come. Fans, players and management are right to be down about that result yesterday, hopefully signs of a good, winners' mentality developing.
  11. I've no clue how much it would have cost to do that yesterday. I read on twitter that one of the young boys paid for it using his birthday money. Fair play to him and hopefully he enjoyed what he spent his money on.
  12. We've been pish poor. Another easy win for them over us at Ibrox. Disappointed.

    Top 6

9 points from the first three games after the split should be the target. If we get 7 or 9 then Europe could be a possibility. Edit - Unless Hibs win the cup
  14. I don't know who we were playing, but i'm told it was in 1985 aged 2. One of my first memories at Firhill is as a 3 year old. Wee Molly who pretty much ran the club at the time came running out after my dad to see if I wanted to be the mascot for the day. For some reason, I shat it. Nervousness kicked in and I didn't want to do it. Don't know why, never been a mascot since.

    Dilemma!

Been to Ibrox many times in the past 25 years since the Forfar promotion and I've seen a few draws. The 1-1 with Alex Taylor's late goal (a beauty) in 94/95 on the day they got the trophy was probably my favourite. We've not won there in my lifetime and I think we're going to do it this weekend. I'd love to be there but I'll be 3000 miles away, i'll still enjoy it regardless. If you can be there, go.
