Who Are The Jags Players In This Photo?

That picture brings back great memories of the old north terracing. Even though the roof only went down about a third of the way there could be a great atmosphere there. The north stand is continuing that tradition.

ETA: Easy to spot the hatches to the bookies' dookits for the greyhound racing.

Is that the Sky-lights ?

What a fine day that was in our history :-(

Ps the players names are in the photo name when I quoted the post

Rankles me to this day.

I remember a vote was to take place at the Glasgow Council to decide whether planning permission would be granted for a small stand with offices at the back.

Word had got back that it was an 'unofficial' yes and we duly tore the terracing down.

It was then officially a no vote and we were left with a mess.

Who would vote no to a plan like that?

Wasn't it related to the fact that Firhill stadium is designated as a football ground, and not a mixed football ground/commercial offices complex?

Could have been that Jaggernaut.

Just annoying that the nod was given and we acted on it.

Easy to say now that we should have waited for official clearance but guess we thought we were good to go.

I'll replace it with safe standing after my lottery win :happy2:
