Who Are The Jags Players In This Photo?

Very Tricky!    Other names are correct but the goalkeeper is something of a problem.

Assuming this photo is taken at an actual match (eg, not a public trial) and all 5 were playing, Neil Duffy in 191 appearances only lined up with 4 different keepers ie, Niven (clearly not him), Jim Gray, (doesn't look like him), Wm Ramsay (1 appearance but not him as Smith wasn't playing that day) and Freebairn (doesn't look like him).

Not even entirely convinced it's Firhill.  "Coo shed" looks too near corner flag and terracing looks too high/steep.  If anyone can say where it's taken, it would narrow it down.  Easter Road?  Rugby Park?

Duffy is listed in 98 away line-ups.  I've looked at Easter Road, Rugby Park and Ibrox as the most likely contenders.  There are only 6 games where he is listed as playing with Hogan, Cunningham and Smith:-

Kilmarnock 29/4/1961 (Gray)   Hibs 10/1/1962 (Gray)   Rangers 24/1/1962 (Gray)   Rangers 15/9/1962 (Niven)   Kilmarnock 19/9/1962 (Niven)   Hibs 8/12/1962 (Niven).  Clearly not Niven so that leaves 3 games.

Photo doesn't suggest January to me so that leaves April 1961 (1-4).  The only problem with that is that the keeper doesn't look remotely like the photo of Jim Gray I've seen  who, incidentally, is listed as 5ft 10ins.  (Compare with Billy Cunningham who is listed as 5ft 11ins.)   Can't see how it could be McFedries.  (In any case, he is also listed as 5ft 11.)

Is there a remote possibility he is an outfield player with a t-shirt on?  Doesn't help.  The line-up v Kilmarnock was all-well-known faces.

Stumped!  Who is it Stu?

Re the Wee Goalie pic. Could the ground be East End Pk? Looks like summer so could the game have been a friendly?  That could explain the mystery goalie, who could've been a trialist. Stretching it a bit far (in fact far too far) but maybe the wee fella is an outfield player and it's his testimonial and he just wanted to put in an appearance?

Nurse!!!!

Don't think so DT.  Taylor made 7 appearances between April and August 1967.   Only Cunningham remained by then.  Smith and Duffy had departed.  He never played in the 1st team at Ibrox, Easter Road or Rugby Park.

Could goalie be William Ramsay from season 1962-63?
