King Kenny
http://ptfc.co.uk/news/2015-2016/december_2015/first_foot_friday_for_st_mirren_cup_clash Some interesting ideas planned. Would have prefered a traditional Saturday 3pm tie but hopefully this will still attract a big crowd.
BowenBoys
Good to see clubs getting together to market individual games like this. The mixed seating is a progressive idea. St Mirren on a Friday night is a good local fixture so hopefully a big crowd.
Jaggernaut
Hope it goes well. Cup games usually bring out more folk than normal. The first game of the New Year for the Buddies, the Friday night "novelty," and some attractions could increase the crowd further.
yoda-jag
i've been calling for kingsley to have faceoffs with opposing teams mascots since he was born and revealed to the universe. looking forward to this. kingsley will melt that panda in double quick time. oneteaminglasgow
A mixed section sounds shite. Each to their own though.
lady-isobel-barnett
Apart from a concern re playing evening matches at this time of year it looks like a very good venture. Both clubs have to be congratulated for coming up with these initiatives. I'd expect further initiatives with regards to the ticketing. Perhaps discounted prices for early purchase. Anything to avoid the bulk of sales being too close to the 8th when many may have one eye on the weather..
Dick Dastardly
Congrats to both clubs for coming up with the idea. Got to try different things and I can't fault them for the ideas.

potty trained
Surprise surprise St Mirren fans moaning about this. Why can't they just do all that stuff... But on the Saturday. Why did it take so long to announce, I've booked the Saturday off work. Why didn't they announce this when the fixture was announced. stillresigned
Any initiative on behalf of the clubs is to be welcomed tbh. However, I find it hard to get terribly excited at evening football at this time of year-of course I could just be becoming a curnudgingly old barsteward like my daddy before me! No hold that, he's a currant bun and in thrall to the forces of darkness.. I don't know about it being a sell out, but I'm sure that it'll attract a decent crowd. Here's hoping we go into that game still on our unbeaten run!
Paulo
Good to see the clubs trying some new ideas. I quite like a Friday evening game. Surprised St Mirren fans pick this to moan about. Surely they've got a long list of other moans available to them at the moment.

Big Col
A bit odd switching it to Friday when there is no TV involved. I do prefer football to be on the Saturday. A winter freezing night game in Feegie does not seem to make sense. I would have preferred keeping it to the Saturday. And if it's open tickets we won't have the nonsense complaining and whining on here about seating. Look forward to the square go between Kingsley and the panda. Dick Dastardly
I have no objection to midweek evening football (providing it is when we are in Europe). St. Mirren Park on a Friday is just the first step on our road to Nou Camp !

I hadn't realised there was no TV involved which means if the crowd is low there will be no tv money compensation (other than the usual highlights which every club gets). I suppose the clubs are going on the idea that cup games are a bonus and not included in the income planning and anything they get will be a bonus - plus it is a cup game so should have more interest than a league game. Weebaw1
Is there to be no segregation? Seem to remember a few problems between jags and buddies in the good / bad old days of the seventies.

Juan Kerr
Mixed zones will be absolutely fine. Both Buddies & Jags fans are too busy fighting among themselves to worry about other team's fans.
