Top ten thistle legends of my time. In order of appearance (I think)...

Jackie Husband

Molly Stallan

Kenny Watson

Bobby Law

John Lambie

Chic Charnley

Gerry Britton

Alan Archibald

Kris Doolan

Chris Erskine

I refuse to do notable mentions. That's a cop-out

Ah the blessed Molly, what a wonderful, genuine and happy lady she was.

Only on a pitance but she was also a diehard Jag.

Shabbily 'let go' by the club.

I hope the mists of time won't envelope her, a Jags' legend if ever there was one.

Three promotions, Scottish Cup semi final etc etc......however, John Lambie is nowhere near the front of the queue for having a stand named after him. Can't understand anyone nominating Lambie before McParland.

McParland's loyalty is pretty much unmatched, whilst Lambie's is questionable for me. (the way he engineered the move to Falkirk whilst selling them some of our best players, then leaving an absolute incompetent in charge in 2003). Not for me.

Seems to me that, eventually, we will get either a standing area or a very small sittiing area where the clay gnomes ought to be.

If that ever occurs I would quite like recognition for our Mr Doolan. He has stuck with us through thick and thin, I don't recall that sort of club loyalty since Jackie Campbell,

In the modern era it seems to me to be pretty well unique.

Thoughts?

Why not The Jackie Campbell Stand then...?

John Lambie won 3 promotions for Thistle, Scottish Cup Semi-Final, was the last manager to beat Rangers and Celtic. I still think have seen more impressive performances by John Lambie PTFC sides than any Alan Archibald side. I’m sure Firhill attendances of the respective eras would also reflect this.

And remember Archibald jumped ship to Dundee United.
