Lambies Lost Doo
Maxi to be Chief Exec of SFA? It's a step up in prestige and salary but a lot of hassle especially as most people don't understand the limited power and strategy a SFA Chief Exec has. jaggy
Good luck to Maxi if he get’s it and at least he’s come from a non-OF playing background. Bit of a change ahead for us as well then.
Third Lanark
I recall Ian signing a 3 year deal with the club at the same time as Archie so surely the SFA would need to compensate the club
Garscube Road End
Is Maxi any different to any other SFA blazer? Particularly as he was one of three tasked to find a new National boss. And look where they got us with that. Anyway if he goes, Thistle should waive any compensation,if any due, as you can't hold someone back for trying to improve their lot. Be interesting to see who we bring in.

He hasn’t even had a game in charge yet. Do you not think he should be given a chance ?

Sorry but we can’t afford to do this especially if we go down. someone complained about season tickets possibly going up next season- surely if extra money can be brought in such as from the SFA then it might mean fans not having to pay more
lady-isobel-barnett
Scariest thing is Doncaster getting his foot in another door.

CCjag
Is Doncaster's appointment, perhaps, a step towards the ultimate merging of the SFA and the SFPL? Although there would be benefits from having one body governing the game in our relatively small country (for example, only one set of administrators would require to be sufficiently corrupt to allow the hegemony of the Gruesome Twosome to continue), it looks too much like common sense - where there would be no common purpose! Surely if Maxi gets the job McNamara would be due some compensation? He has claimed compo for everything else!

Big Col
Absolute shambles. Worse than the old Monklands Council. With the SFA credibility and reputation at an all time low, they bring in Doncaster, who has been an unmitigated disaster. No wonder Scottish football is ridiculed the world over. jagfox
Maxy in the running for the top job at the SFA. Looks like we could require a new GM. I think we may promote from within. Hopefully we'll get a few easy draws in the Scottish Cup from now on...
