lady-isobel-barnett
I imagine the overall increase is effectively down to gaining Hibs and losing ICT.

Fair point, but Ross County's increase in a poor season for them would seem surprising, especially given the loss of 3 or 4 El Kessocko (or whatever they are called) local derbies. jagfox
The club and the slo worked hard on getting the home crowd up for the Dundee game. Two home games against both of the arse-cheeks will have made up for the drop off in other home matches I suppose?
Fearchar
Separate figures for supporters and opponents would clarify what is actually going on, and a longer series might indicate, for example, the duopoly strangling the other clubs while apparently benefiting them. Lenziejag
What period do the 2 seasons cover? Is 2016/17 the full season or the equivalent 15 or 16 home games. Either way, this seasons average will be higher as we have already had 4 games vs Rangers and Celtic. Our average from now until the season end will probably drop. Last season 2 of our post split games were against them
steve61
Hibs and Hearts easily explained. Hibs due to promotion, Hearts due to Murrayfield early on (30,000 plus v Rangers). Also 3 Edinburgh derbies in those figures which didnt show last year. Impressive figures from Aberdeen and Motherwell, also Ross County, Hamilton and ourselves.
