Which ones do you miss most? I not talking of songs about particular players (even if Dixie Deans did walk like a wummin and wore a bra) but those that were ubiquitous.

I'll start off with:

Wherr's yer faither

Wherr's yer faither

Wherr's yer faither, referee?

Ye huvnae goat wan

Ye huvnae goat wan

Yer a bar steward, referee.

popular in the 90s when we were in the premier league..,

The two songs which referenced the capital being the aids capital of Europe.

And

I can't read, and i can't write...

Not just sung to tractor drives, as it usually finished with... And I'm a f***** w*****

The last one still gets quite a regular airing.

From 70's (obviously), cannot remember it all,

F**k Jock Stein and the green machine,

F**k the gers and the aberdeen,

Wherever we go we fear no folk ?

We are the PARTICK THISTLE.

something like that, can some one fill in the blanks please.

One from the 70's

A million housewives everyday

Pick up a tin of beans and say

J*** G****'s a bar steward

"Songs you never hear anymore"

Sitting in the JHS near the kids section I don't hear any Thistle songs anymore

The "shed" boys could be singing all the old classics and no-one would know. Hopefully this will change in the new season with the "choir" relocated behind the goal. :thumbsup2:

Geez "Mary Fae Maryhill"

never hear the old anglo scottish cup tune anymore for obvious reasons

... forget the first few bits (maybe someone can fill the gaps)

....

been down to Bolton

and kicked them to hell

we drank all their whisky

and Newcastle Brown

the Firhill boys are in town

na na na nana-nanana

na nana na na

also the ditty when we used to play the dons:

the northern lights

of old Aberdeen

mean f*** all to me

the northern lights

of old Aberdeen

were smashed by the PTFC

The first one there is probably one of most frequently heard songs at Firhill, and was sung more than once on Saturday.

Isn't it

We've been down to London and Bolton as well

We've been to the Gorgie and kicked them to hell

We'll drink all your whisky and Newcastle Brown

The Firhill boys are in town

It was always

In your (appropriate shitty city/poor toon) slums

You look through the dustbins for something to eat

You find a dead rat and you think it's a treat

In your Dundee (for example) slums

The Clyde was a shortlived sideline in the groundshare Gypsy era.

I always loved this one when over zealous policing happened.

(To the tune of Land of Hope and Glory....)

We hate Dixon of Dock Green

We hate Z Cars too

We hate Softly Softly

Oh Polis, we hate you

What are the words to the "Archibald" song that used to get sung for Archie (to the tune of Robin Hood)?

.

Think this was it just copied from when we sing it about Albert Craig

Archibald Archibald at the far post

Archibald Archibald man they call ghost

One with his head..One with his foot

Archibald Archibald.

Not 100% on this however as I'm sure the young brigade sung one about Archibald flying down the wing

The Albert Craig song (as I remember it) was..

Albert Craig, Albert Craig in at the far post

Albert Craig, Albert Craig, we call him the Ghost

Feared by the Tims, hated by the H uns

Albert Craig, Albert Craig.

The Archie one was...

Archibald, Archibald running down the wing

Archibald, Archibald loves to swing them in

Wears number 3, what is he called?

Archibald, Archibald
