  3. The second best day out on my Jags CV. Like the first, I believed those days might turn up occasionally. Still waiting on both counts................

  4. If he gets runner up next week he gets a place in next seasons squad.

  5. Yes. It's no problem with specs. Bend the wire to keep the top of the mask in contact with your face.

  6. What the BBC misrepresenting things. Old Auntie Beeb? How very dare you!

  7. Sorry. They had a lawyer on. Hopefully i can represent it correctly, but the gist of his main point was that this week's decision wasn't really the big issue. That arbitration is every bit as serious a legal process as court is, and that everything is still to play for. He also noted that the finding suggested that there was a case for the SPFL to answer. Daryl Broadfoot also fairly knowledgeable on it and spoke extensively. No one suggested that this is done and dusted. It definitely went against the BBC version that we'd "failed" to get relegation overturned. That to me seems a misrepresentation of the outcome.

  8. Greaves one works great with specs if you make sure to put the black flap properly up and to cover the bags of your eyes.

  9. The arbitration panel powers will be limited to the case that Hearts and Thistle have put forward. There is no other remit. They certainly won't be trying to sort the shambles that is Scottish Football in any meaningful way.

  10. Do I think that the arbitration panel is remotely likely to decide to award us compensation? No. Can I rule it out? No. If we do get compensation or some sort of ex gratia payment I think it’s more likely to be part of a settlement voluntarily arrived at by the parties to keep the legal costs down and to end planning uncertainty, but without any side admitting wrongdoing.

  11. They've been played by the SPFL who didn't contest the dismissing the case option - they were happy to have member clubs dip their toe in that scenario - it's the price they pay for their twisted view of sporting integrity - no sympathy for them at all

  12. You're talking crap now. I think you've made a lot of good and well informed points but when you start claiming to know what I'm thinking better than I do myself I know you're havering, and your arguments lose a lot of credibility.

  13. Would be a great signing but sadly can’t see it happening.

  14. I only made it along to about 8 matches last season but from what I saw the problem with Cardle for me wasn’t that he went into hiding, it was that he tried too hard to do it all himself. Not sure he has it in him anymore, even at League One level.

  15. What's Alex Salmond doing these days? He's a Jambo, with experience of success in court against the odds. Jags could nominate Laura Kuenssberg, who would be sure to present an articulate version of our case.

  16. Question for WJ. If the SPFL issue Premiership fixtures before the outcome of arbitration, could Hearts (especially) and Thistle (academically) have a case in law in deeming this to be prejudicial to the outcome of arbitration?

  17. I think you are mostly right, but I think we do now go to arbitration with a slightly better hand. The disclosure of documents is for certain a win we would not have got if we had not gone to court and some of Lord Clark’s comments suggest that we might have been treated unfairly

  18. If anyone thinks the threat to throw Hearts, one of largest-supported clubs in Scotland and one half of the second-largest derby in the country, out of the system is anything other than hot air, they're soft in the head. Thistle on the other hand, I'm sure they couldn't give a toss about, so it's lucky we're riding on the Jambo's coat-tails and cash.

  19. So we went to court and won some real concessions for the arbitration process; independent panel, involvement of a legal professional, and full disclosure of documents relating to the vote. We wouldn’t have got these issues agreed if we had gone straight to arbitration.

  20. Did you not say it would have been thrown out , that’s not what’s happened .

  21. The findings wouldn't be too bad if we had any faith in the independent process. I think the judge's finding appears very reasonable. But I wonder if he realises just how useless the people he is passing this over to are.

  22. Filling a void as we wait for news from Edinburgh, I have received a Transaction Report from the club for June 2020. Up on site now. Thanks, once again, to you all.
