  1. I was at Hospitality today and also for Hearts game. Today was only 8 tables so circa 80 people, they blocked off the top so it looked OK. Hearts game was pretty much full, probably 16 or 18 tables. En Croute are back to do the food which is a big improvement , 2 course meal , main and sweet. a decent vegetarian option for main course. Staff are very pleasant plus Michael Max is a good MC. It is certainly not as busy as few years ago and the tables are mainly taken by club sponsors, a few guys on their own, HT pie and tea most welcome and always good to get MOM over to present to mascots. Also give opinion on the match. all in all a good day out but today was very flat after the teams poor performance. Hope this helps. AJ
  2. Trialist keeper was Dave Crawford who has played in the lower leagues, latterly for Alloa
  3. Watched hi lites, observation, trialist goalie looked OK, No 4 a bomb scare, BAth looked sharp. Onwards to Kirkcaldy and Cappielow
  4. I be just emailed the club as I also have been directed to CM Chartered Accountants in Liverpool tonight, very strange AJ
  5. Was just thinking hadn't seen the above at a game for a while, does anyone know if he still attends games
  6. Nice to hear from you Ian, how's Whitburn. Outside ugly sisters United are up there on my " dislike list". Mon the Jags
  7. Really hope Jags fans turn out in big numbers for the next 2 home games, players and manager deserve it, let's get as many in as possible. Mon The Harry Wraggs AJ
  8. Forgot about Charini and Grady, also Jim McLean was a horrible wee man, your right Karma tastes good. AJ
  9. Senior moment, forgot to add Paton and Erskine, Paton I'm not fussy about. AJ
  10. After watching them take Ian Gibson from us plus Archie and Shaggy and McNamara and beating us in play off fiasco in 1996 ( we were denied a stonewall penalty before they equalised) and umpteen heavy defeats in the 80's and 90's, tonight I feel as if we are now getting some long overdue payback, 3 straight wins over them without conceding a goal, it can,t get much better. Well done Archie and the boys you make us all proud to be Jags fans. For ever and ever.......... AJ
  11. Not sure if the crowd today but a decent Jags support
  12. Team looked to lack a leader today, very low on confidence which is not unexpected. A few bright spots for me today, Booth played well, Lawless was lovely and Nisbet looks a great prospect. Also Pogba and Amoo looked well worth a start next week. Worryingly Dools looks a shadow of the player he can be. N next week is a must, it would take us off bottom and nearer Killie who are not a good team. Mon the Jags Ps what a strange reaction among the Jags fans when goal went in, it was like no one believed we had scored.
  13. He won't be back, like you say Colin hope he does well at Ayr. Not that I'm advocating a change but one name that hasn't been mentioned is Steven Presseley, not sure if he is working for SFA since leaving Coventry. AJ
  14. It will be interest to see in the next accounts how much is owed to the directors or any of their businesses. What would concern me would be if they were looking for repayment and the club couldn't meet that. Also it is possible any money received from sale of Jack Henry has gone to repay any of the aforementioned. All will be revealed in due course once accounts are filed.
  15. Apparently it was announced at the end of season fundraiser that the Weirs attended.
  16. Beattie et all are no fools and they know this can't continue, maybe now they will provide Finance for AA to sign some free agents,if any decent ones out there. Problem is another influx of 2 or 3 players means team needs time to settle whilst all our rivals know there best starting 11 and are winning games and create an uncatchable gap for us to close.
  17. Thanks for that, evwry days a school day. I really wonder at times, Billy Allan had 3 of his guys on the board, Greg Brown,Ian Dodd and Brian Donald. I do fear for our future at times as I can't see any real succession planning for when these guys chuck it.
  18. One thing that hasn't been forthcoming is what happened to the new share issue that was going to be raised, did the Weirs decline, if so are the club going to open up a share issue to existing shareholders and fans. I missed the end of year fundraiser but understand the Weirs agreed to fund the Weir Academy for a further 3 years. That at least is something if we are relegated this season. Also does anyone know what our most recently appointed director Ms Low's duties are and have we benefited from her services so far. AJ
  19. Archie on BBC. Saying he is still trying to bring in quality, only free agents available. Time for doing this was pre season not now that the horse has bolted. AJ
  20. Those who don't see this as a crisis are delusional.Time to take reality check. We haven't won a Arch since first Saturday in May, have failed to score in 7 out of 8 matches so far. This start is worse than Gerry Collins era.Unfortunately I don't have the answers but Mr Beattie and Maxi will soon know all about it when crowds go under 2,000. I know last year a big loss incurred and 24% decrease of crowds at Firhill but that was due to make up of the league, wouldhave been better this season if we had got off to a reasonable start. Not now though unless a miracle and we start winning. January window will be too late to strengthen squad as we be gone by then. I will still go to Firhill as I have been for over 50 years and will renew my season ticket next season come what may. So if anyone wants to call me panicker, not fussed, I am being realistic. AJ
  21. Don't think we have won a game since the St Mirren match at beginning of May. That is an awful run. All the old jokes coming out Partick Thistle nil. Fed up AJ
  22. Great idea Colin Hopefully the club respond positively. AJ
  23. My ticket in lieu of ST seat in JHS,is shown as unreserved M3 in Main Stand. Will there be proper segregation in the Main Stand or are we likely to be surrounded by Celtic support. AJ
  24. Agree with above, felt sorry for Dools, chasing shadows after Frans went off. Great team spirit which will stand us in good stead for a very tough season. Just need firepower upfront.zhappy with result in the circumstances.
