  1. If our rivals have "failings" that cause them to finish the season with less points than us then that's their worry, we would finish the league because "our own efforts" made us finish the league with more points than them. It's all relative
  2. Big cheers to all the Jags fans that said hello and chatted to me at the festival, especially King Kenny off this forum, good to meet you mate, still no idea how you know who I am from the old forums but was good to meet you anyway. Top weekend
  3. I thought you'd have figured that one out a long time ago, jeez you really are getting old my good friend
  4. I await the crys of, there's always one, so i'll be that one. But before I say anything, I had a great night, Thistle did play some fantastic football especially in the second half, most enjoyable. However this wee love in that is the just in thread paints a false picture, Morton were pretty poor all night, and for the first half hour at least we weren't that much better, and if it wasn't for Morton being poor it could have been much different, they had some great chances they squandered. Also, it was only 2-0 when their dude was sent packing,so Morton down to 10 men and our resulting 3rd was due to one mans idiocy. To make things clear before I get a hounding, i'm not on a downer, i'm still very much on high from last night, big smiles and a spring in my step and everything (even after sitting with my English fiancee watching the rugby) and Thistle did play some fantastic football. I'm just saying, 5-0 and this thread are going together to paint a picture of the game that I consider false. Sorry
  5. Thanks for the replies folks, I heard a rumour t'was all and wondered if it was common knowledge. He's def still around, his son plays for Broomhill .
  6. Obviously , and i'd like to thank the rest of my life for giving me some time on the internet football forums
  7. ......... yer a w***er Just a bit of humour there What I was really posting for is , did we ever find out why he left, or indeed why he left so abruptly and out of the blue? Apologies if i'm dragging up stuff that's been done to death, i've not been about for a while
  8. Most OF fans think that's a jug for holding their Carling in.
  9. We're always complaining about the cost of watching football. Compared to the actual football on display it's far from value for money, in theory it sounds like a great idea, the bottom line though is that we want to watch better football and no matter the amount of games we get in for free it won't encourage bigger crowds, no-one wants to watch crap football even if it's for free. A better idea would be to encourage the players to earn their dough, from the top flight european teams to the lower full time league teams wages should be dragged back to a bare minimum, the rest should be bonus related. There's no reason why the big guns can't earn the big money ,but if you want to succeed in football you should have to be successful.
  10. I understand them perfectly, and in principal I have been a supporter of the co-efficient ideal in the past, however the co-efficient failed us a few years back when we were forced to play an important cup tie midweek , a tie that took forever to come about also in the best interests of the co-efficient , so now I refuse to accept the co-efficient as a basis for supporting all scottish teams in europe. The co-efficient f***ed PTFC up the ar*e that year
