The big man was superb today with a bit of luck could have scored at least two. Really hope we can keep him for next season. Some of the football in the first half was as good as I've seen for a few seasons and with the new initiatives I am feeling optimistic for the first time in years. Roll on next season!

Season ain't over this mob pretending to be footballers and led by a naive manager with no knowledge of how to change tactics or how to motivate players are now heading for the relegation zone! I have followed Thistle for over 57 years and macnamara is up there with all the greats like Dickie Boy, Murder, Rooney, Bryce and Cormack. Spoke to a few lapsed fans on the way out and each one said that today was the final straw and that they were finished with all things Thistle.
  3. Game will be a farce if it goes ahead... Rain is lashing down and the wind is gale force down here in Nth Ayrshire
  4. Yes shocking giving money to a party that you have been members and stood for in a election. Smug politicians are not new I give you St. Tony. Methinks another whinging Unionist.
  5. Some years ago a regular Jags fan who I knew as Graham .....Name withheld to protect his identity began to be known as Paddy. I asked why the nickname and was told to look at his Jags tattoo which he had done in a drunken moment. There it was a great tattoo of the crest with the name of PATRICK THISTLE under it. So please be careful out there!
  6. Ah the memories. New years day in Ibrox main stand separated from the h*ns by small wooden partition. Respectable H*n next to us " nice to see you Jags fans, always a soft spot for your team" whisky bottle passed backwards and forwards. They score, H*n celebrates. Late on Nobby gets murdered by I think Tam Forsyth.... Dusts himself down takes free kick moves upheld and is on the end of a cross to head the ball into the net. We go daft ....H*n goes daft ...dirty Fe.....ian Bstds etc attempts to climb over partition falls trying to get at us...falls and then gets lifted!!!! On the way home gets involved in a car chase by a bunch of h*ns which involved booting their car driving through red lights on wrong side of road and eventually them giving up when we reached Finnieston St. Those were the days !

What was funny was the Police dog patrol controlling them at the away gate with a spaniel!!!! Or maybe it was checking why they seemed happy?
  8. Archie Lochrie a great winger murderd by R..gers Tam Forsyth at Firhill and of course the fabulous Johnny Gibson after a stamp on his knee by John Cushley.
  9. Can't understand all the ins and outs of this situation but if I was asked who to trust its no contest. Mcmaster, Hughes actions over the past years have brought the club to it's knees and to resurface from the wilds of Stenhousemuir to prevent guys who are trying to move the club away from the abyss is a disgrace. Questions about Propco are totally invalid because if we don't act now we won't have a club never mind a ground. How about organising a online poll to see what the support outside the JT think of the proposals.
  10. Crap idea ...so much for bring the kids along. I drive 100 mile round trip to pick up my grandson trying to ensure a future Jags fan. How many parents are going to bring their youngsters on a Friday night and not get home till well after 10 o'clock the days of our support being local is long gone.
  11. Jags fan for 58 years

  12. Jackie got a raw deal after being promised a coaching role at the club was then released. I spoke to him at the centenary dinner and he was really delighted to be associated with the Jags......without a doubt should be in the hall of fame as an individual. A total gent!
  13. No, if I remember that far back George Smith who played in the mid fifties to the mid sixties was a professional sprinter. I think there is a trophy which George won on show at firhill
