  1. as far as I can gather, the BBC have a Friday night game, Queen's Park v Dundee, so all the games have to run at the same time to ensure fairness, given its the last game of the season.
  2. Maybe not - remember Supercaleygoballistic....... 🤣
  3. Very happy with Kris as the new manager and I wish him the greatest of success. Have dug out my Kr1s Doolan celebration scarf for today's game.
  4. AAHHA more in hope than expectation..... Thanks, BB
  5. Mystic Meg strikes! Got this week's lottery numbers at all?
  6. AHHH HAHH AAHA AAAA tHANKS, bb (who left the caps lock on?) :-)
  7. I agree that it's well worth getting - lots of interesting details around the famous game.
  8. I forget the name of the ground, but it is Crusaders park in Belfast, during a pre-season friendly. I think Gerry Collins was manager then. There is a small stand on the far side of the pitch with a bit of terracing off to the side of it. In between is a short passageway at the side of the stand which had written on the wall, in big friendly letters, "this is NOT a toilet" Ah, happy days...
  9. That seems to have done the trick! Thanks Jagsman
  10. There, surely, better ways to create atmosphere and show support for your team than setting fire to stuff. In what way are the clubs you mention way ahead of us in the fan scene? I only attend Thistle games, so I don't know what wonderful and advanced things these fans have brought to the terraces. I mean, St Johnstone? Really? They set fire to their sweetie papers or their traveling rugs , maybe? I know Bradford City wasn't started by a flare, but I'd dread to witness such a catastrophy at a Jags game. In my view, it doesn't add much to the spectacle and just doesn't seem worth the risk.
  11. One at the Inverness game and two up at Cove. Am I the only one that thinks this is a bad idea and reeks of OF neddery? At Cove, one ended up on the track and burned an advertising board, and maybe the fake grass. The other seemed to stay inside the shed it was let off in, with smoke filling the shed. Unnecessary and potentially dangerous, and I'd like to see our support drop the idea.
  12. A for me, BB. As an anti-brexiteer, gotta support Europe!
  13. Would Robert Reid be prepared to be the unity candidate? Absolutely steeped in Thistle tradition and decades of experience around the club.
  14. For the quarters, I'll go - AAA Thanks, BB
  15. In proper Mystic Megs style, just before he scored, I said to my mate "I've never seen the point in the keeper coming up - it never pays off". Just goes to show what I know!
  16. I've been a Firhill regular for over 30 years and likewise I don't recognise any of these gents, nor have I ever heard any of their names, outwith their association with the PTFC Trust. Where did they spring from and how did they find themselves as the 5 directors, and apparently only members, of this very important organisation?
  17. Took my eye of the ball, (Copyright Archie MacPherson), in the Scottish Cup pop-up, so determined to make the WC more interesting with some skin in the game...... A 4312 B 2413 C 1423 D 1324 E 2413 F 1342 G 1432 H 1324 I'm sure one of these is the combination lock to our best suitcase! Thanks again for all your efforts, BB.
  18. Here are the results for the Luxembourg jury - AHAAHHAAHHHHHAHHAAAAHHHAHAHHAA Thanks, BB
  19. Chief Constable Gerald King-Espana? Any relation to Gerald "King of Spain" Britton? What is it about cops and crazy names? Anyone remember Glasgow detective Fletcher Catchpole or Scotland Yard's Jack Slipper back in the sixties/seventies?
  20. Has something like this already happened in respect of the shares held by The JAGS Trust - about a million I believe. I don't know the actual numbers of shares in circulation but a million shares in a small company sounds a lot to me, and it probably was at the time they were obtained. However that ownership now appears to convey very little influence, and would seem to confirm Stolenscone's concerns above.
  21. I've been around Thistle for over 30 years and I've never heard of any of these unelected "trustees". Does anyone on here know any of the PTFC Trust people named in their statement today ? The signatories are - Euan Couperwhite, Richard Beastall, Ali Campbell, Neil Drain, Fergus MacLennan, Randle Wilson.
  22. utterly shameful. complete fix. looks nothing like "fan ownership".
