  1. https://my.trafficscotland.org/ If you look at the closest webcam to Dumfries the roads are completely clear.
  2. Airdrie might be very slightly closer than Hamilton, given that almost everyone was predicting this to be off I would have been open to considering a venue switch. Playing twice a week is likely to be detrimental to our final league position.
  3. I think this is the current rule. Not a definite no but probably not something that could be amended at short notice. I suppose that if it is obvious the pitch isn't going to be playable then it's a feasible option. H14 No Club shall play its Home matches at any ground other than its Registered Ground without first obtaining the written approval of the Board.
  4. Why is it taking so long to announce the date for the rearranged game? There are only 2, maybe 3 dates available before we are playing twice a week until the split.
  5. Still hopeful this will be on. I cycled by Firhill around 7.30 tonight, the JHS side of the pitch is fully covered, it's still heavily sanded and there hasn't been much recovery but it is being protected. If the ground staff are sweeping off standing water throughout the day it will help. Forecast on BBC looks grim but scroll down to the rain radar map and it's not that bad, very heavy rain mid day, after that looks ok-ish...
  6. I am in row 3 at the corner flag despite buying tickets online nearly two weeks ago and requesting seats at the rear of the stand. If you are correct someone at the ticket office needs a rocket up their arse.
  7. Thistle twitter site says we have only 100 tickets left for this. Anyone know how many we got?
  8. I was thinking this earlier, weather tomorrow is to be dry and sunny. Plenty of time for the pitch to drain.
  9. The decision to open up additional sections and £20 tickets is a rare outbreak of common sense from Celtic rather than charging fans £26 for a crap view of the column holding up the roof in a stadium half empty. I don't expect this to continue for long. I haven't been to parkhead to watch thistle since it was all terracing (due to above reasons) 3 others are going with me who almost certainly would not have attended under normal circumstances.

    Weather

Heavy rain forecast on Friday and overnight however Saturday is to be dry with strong breeze according to BBC and met office, should be enough to dry out the pitch if it is unplayable in the morning.
  11. Utterly bewildered that we didn't win 3 or 4 nil, I think we can potentially turn it around but given our current league position it's looking like a rollercoaster ride for the full season. Another small crowd as well, trying to find positives but it's grim right now.
  12. Any idea when tickets are posted out? Bought mine online on Saturday, still no sign...
  13. Back in the late 80's early 90's I was a Shed regular, I loved the atmopshere of the old place. When the JH was built it just wasn't the same for me, I lastest less than a season before drifting away altogether. Between 1995 and 2012 I would doubt I reached double figures for games at Firhill. On a whim one Saturday during our promotion season I went to the 2-2 draw away to Morton and found out about the 'New Shed'. A few weeks later and culminating in that glorius victory against Morton I found that I once again started to care. So after a gap of nearly 20 years I am now a season ticket holder along with my brother who can also be counted as a lapsed fan brought back by having bit of atmosphere again. If we were to lose that then both of us would be lost once again, that's not a toys out the pram flounce threat, just a simple acknowledgement that our interest will dwindle. the JH has never been particularly atmospheric in 20 years, I doubt anything is going to change that now. The north stand has been a huge success in my view and your bizarre and bitter resentment of those of us who massively appreciate being in there is quite divisive and becoming rather tiresome.
  14. A combination of crap kick off time, more than likely defeat and the unique poison Celtic fans bring to game will have kept away all but season ticket holders and core PATG fans. Not surprised at all if we had less than 2000 there today.
  15. Same. I usually stand within a couple of spaces of my allocated seat anyway. According to the ticket website we have sold less than 600 tickets for the north stand so I don't expect there to a problem. All the JH stand guys that I know are going in the main stand.
