  1. Retaining Sneddon, Turner and Milne are a must for me. I also think the Muirhead/Holt partnership is a good one. Smith can depart.
  2. Can we move on now from discussing McCall? Time to get fully behind Dools
  3. As long as it isn’t the gilet on Tim Sherwood cos he was a c*ck
  4. Pleased with the start for Dools so far - decent amount of possession
  5. Okay thanks. Do you sense there is a general willingness to have fan reps on the Club Board? It was an area of difference early doors between PTFC Trust and TJF.
  6. Roadmap seems good. But what’s the outcome re fan representation on the Club Board (as St Mirren for example) ?
  7. Aye, he’s standing next to @gianlucatoni
  8. Decent post from @laukat above re thanking McCall. In many ways Thistle have been his home. But the Interim Board took an objective view - and performances have been stale. Jan-Mar 2022 was bad enough, recent results haven’t been good enough. Sentiment doesn’t come into the equation in a results-orientated business. We are where we are, let’s get behind Dools.
  9. Every football team changes manager from time to time. The players are professional and will want to play to enhance their chances of getting contract extensions. I think you are doing a disservice to Doolan to assume there will be a mass exodus. He is a club legend and has his coaching badges. He is also Thistle through & through.
  10. The decision has been made by the Club Board. I think it’s time to move on and support the team under Dools. There are a number of key decisions to be made about how fan ownership will work - and the Club does need new income. If Dools can keep us there or there about for top 4, that’s good enough for me for this season.
  11. She’ll be in Jaconellis tomorrow if you want to buy her pie & chips
  12. This is a key point, given that the Club may also be letting Kenny Arthur go (presumably to save money). It also suggests that Dools will be in interim charge for longer than otherwise might be the case. I wish him well and we need to get behind him and the team. I have no desire to listen to what Rough says. With this debt, the previous Club Board have played a bit of a hospital pass to the fans.
  13. I must have missed this @Jordanhill Jag - was it announced?
  14. It’s probably no surprise we are having to re-budget. The last couple of sets of PTFC accounts only looked ‘okay’ because of additional funds from 3BC. TJF were right to have sought due diligence before the share transfer. What we seem to be finding out now, should have been made clearer by the previous Club Board. Still, we are where we are. Time to sort out the mess and get an effective model of fan ownership in place.
  15. Out of interest, where does the ‘drastic’ reference come from?
  16. We are still transitioning to a proper fan-owned model. The final outcome with a new Club Board will be the time when things come together. Besides we can’t have all the dogs in Maryhill knowing what the fans don’t eta dogs perspectives
  17. Did he have a cargo with him?
  18. To be fair to the current (interim) Club Board, I expect most of their time has been taken-up getting to grips with the finances and the shape of fan ownership. They have probably assumed the PTFC Trust and TJF are communicating to the fans. But going forward, I agree that communication from the Club Board is one area for immediate improvement. It should be a ‘quick win’.
  19. I did smirk a little as I typed it
  20. I’ve no idea. Of course there is the lure of Motherwell that we have to compete with.
  21. Do you have a pessimistic version too?
