Just because we are a fan owned club this does not mean that we should be told every decision or details behind it. We elect representatives to sit on the board and we have to trust them to make the correct decisions. Occasionally things will need to be confidential.Thats the way all businesses run.

I'm not making any judgement on this event just stating what I've said above.

Except we didn’t elect the original PTFC Trust members

I hate posts like these …. We won , enjoy it and don’t mention the war …

if they had taken that sitter in the first half it would have been a very different game and it was dreadful defending

you don’t get better by resting on your laurels

Nobody is resting on their laurels. We are just enjoying a 3-0 result.

If we are going far flung CS Maritimo in Madeira would be my choice. Cracking 10k all seater stadium close to Funchal town centre, cheap tickets (€15-€25) for most games and the option to have a beer. Oh, and the weather is great all year round.

They have a cracking home top. Red & Green stripes

The last game I attended - in Germany. (Face obscured to spare the blushes of my younger son, who has not bought a season ticket. 😶) Pilsner and Currywurst, for the bon vivants anxious to know.

Germany does football attendance in style. A few years ago I was able to book tickets to see Hertha Berlin v Augsburg from the UK - and then sit with a litre of beer in the sunshine watching the game.

That’s a great result at a ground that’s not the easiest to get 3 points from. Good to see Adeloye get his first goal as well

This. I think the signs are there of a more settled squad beginning to emerge

For me there's two categories of loanee. There's the standard thought to have potential type loanee (usually a youngster) that's sent out from his parent club to get game time.  Then there's the ones sent out from s club (perhaps to reduce their wage bill) that we've a chance of signing. I suppose their club may look on them as potentially surplus to requirement. Ones we've a good chance of signing the following season. Balatoni, Welsh, Tiffoney, Erskine (return) all spring to mind. There's something just a bit more joiny up about bringing in a player on loan who we've a chance to sign. Doesn't always work out like Keown, but normally there's that bit extra insurance knowing the guy will fit in.

Keown was good in his first season for us, seemed to lose confidence & form after that

Think you want to reflect on performance as much as on results. The manner we ended last season was high performance stuff. This season every game bar Tannadice we've been poor. Been to all.

Clearly then we miss Docherty, Turner & Tiffoney. Not including Holt as he was playing in Milne's position. Think McInroy may replace Turner adequately enough but I don't think the other two have been replaced. Docherty I feel could have been replaced within budget.

Despite the number of midfielders I can see Neilson being drafted in to play defensive mid. We'd have to have signed another centreback tho' as I think we have to break up the current pairing at the back.

Turner was always going to be a huge miss, such a creative player

we are a Football Club - not a YTS Scheme - its not up to the Club to give the luxury of someone “ learning” as a Manager or “ New Squad Gelling”

There are serious questions on not being able to hold onto a win - and being completely out of our depth on every level against Hearts

We ran Rangers Close in the Cup Tie - McCall was sacked - and yes the previous couple of results has been poor

Therefore its a results driven business and Managers are judged on them

My honest opinion is that emotion plays too big a part on decisions from the Club when it involves “ legends”

Archie - Gerry B - Bannigan - Dools -other Clubs don't act like this

Dools has the next few games to start getting wins

I would start with fitness and maybe just maybe start having a plan for when we are 2-0 up ?

Fair comments Jim, all I’m saying is give Dools the time to make a difference. His football philosophy is right.

Dools is intelligent, I trust his decisions on who he recruits and where he plays them. Give him time, his re-shaped team will have an impact.

the most recent in a summer long load of nonsense

So the quote about ‘fabulous’ is in your head. The latest in a long line of anti-Doolan messages cos Yer pal McCall got his jotters.

Doolan out of his depth. This team is a mirror of McCall and Archie's.

Any legends left for us to hire at this point? Seeing as we don't want anyone who doesn't understand the thistle way, of perennially losing.

Doolan is not out of his depth. He is learning as a manager and trying to get a new squad to gel.
