Mulgrew was training with us apparently, my nephew also got his photo taken with Ben Williamson after training and there was another player in the car with him who said he couldn't be in photo as he hadn't signed yet, i assumed that would have been Mulgrew, my nephew didn't know who Mulgrew was though as he is too young so cant confirm ! Might just have been a player not wanting his pic taken though 🙂

With Mulgrew announcing his retirement from football does that mean someone else might be brought in assuming we were thinking of signing him that is ? maybe there is room in the budget for 1 more player hopefully a defensive player ?

Whilst we have been very inconsistent this season i think the injuries to McAvoy and Milne were the final straw had either one of those not been injured i think we would have have scraped top spot. As mentioned above there are a pile of games esp against cove etc that can be identified as reasons we have fallen short but we were one injury time save off second place despite all of this. just got to hope they are up to the job for the playoff games and we are in with a chance..

We could really do with Hodson back in to allow Holt to return to central defence. If Brownlie had been benched over last few games things might be very different. Would be great to secure the playoffs this week ..

Pretty certain that Harry Milne will be away in the summer regardless as well. We've been lucky to have him this season, if we can somehow win the league or playoffs we might be able to hold onto him.

Jack Ross or Goodwin for me, as much as I like McCall its hard to see how we can progress with the current setup. ETA: Tam Courts would be a good option also

We should be using data analysis to identify lists of suitable targets that then can be looked at more closely before any attempts to recruit anyone. Its teh ideal way to spread your net when looking for players, we seem to be relying solely on McCall, archie and scallys knowledge of players which must restrict where we are looking initially

He wasn’t using data analysis to find these signings though they came via agents and an extremely limited network of scouts.

I know for a fact that the current management are not interested in using any form of data analysis in player recruitment and think this holds us back recruitment wise. We need to look at trying to use data to locate players in lower/non league down south/ireland and try and bring them in and move them on. Akinyemi at Ayr is a good example of the kind of players that are available in these leagues.

Do you need to pass a fit and proper test to sit on the board ? Or is it just the Chair ? if the trustees of the PTFC trust passed fit and proper test to be majority shareholder they will surely sit on the board even if only on a temp basis ?
