  2. The card should have been shown for that
  3. Y/C Booth but he can't complain about it
  4. afghan, I probably drove past your house last year just after I drove over seacliff bridge
  5. go to pay per view https://ptfc.co.uk/product/jagzone-subscription/
  6. I like the way Thistle are taking the game to them but they need to watch the breaks
  7. 1 - 0 already. A really well woked goal. Good to be able to watch it from the other side of the world
  8. I hope there's a good turnout of voters. I wonder if compulsory voting (as we have in Oz) would make a difference
  9. Glad to be of help . (He's been to Firhill but unfortunately still seems to prefer Australian rules)
  10. I put this to my son in law who has a computer business and got the following reply. "Its likely that the battery is dying. In order to protect itself from larger failure , the battery smarts is only allowing charging to 80%. The best thing to do is to replace the battery"
  11. No, a goldfish had to suffice
  12. Much as I like the Rolling Stones I didn't have any of their records with me at the time. Next time I go to Paris I'd better not burst into spontaneous song!!!
  13. So that's where I got it wrong. We never got a fancy apartment!!!!!!
  14. My wife gave me a bemused look many years ago when I started singing a Peter Sarsdedt song in Paris. We'd just come out the metro and I noticed we were at the Boulevard St Michel. What else could I do but start singing the song , "where do you go to", which includes a line about the Bvd St Michel. To this day I still don't understand why she gave me such a strange look at that particular moment. The rest of the visit to Paris was fine.
  15. I watched the game live on Jagzone and was as disappointed as everyone else that Doolan was flagged for offside, but unless you were in the same position as the A/R and watching the game the WAY the A/R was watching it, then it's difficult to comment. Firstly, the camera angle made it impossible to say if he was offside or not. Secondly, the majority of spectators and those on the bench would have been watching the player in possession of the ball when it was played forward to Doolan, and not watching Doolan. The A/R would have been watching the second last defender, and from his position it would be relatively easy to assess Doolan's position. He would also have been using his peripheral vision to watch the attacking player in possession of the ball and know when it was played. If your focus is on the attacking player only, then in the split second it takes to change your view, the offside player can appear to be in an onside position. I make these comments based on my own experience as an A/R at a fairly senior level for over 15 years.
  16. A hair's breadth of the cross bar stopped us going 2 -0 up, then we lose with seconds to go. It should have been the other way around, but the Jags took the game to them. An absolute slap in the face
  17. At least you're watching it at a good time, it's midnight here on the east coast
  18. I refereed a Thistle training game in 2005 and Jimmy Bone played in the last few minutes. I was 4th official an Australian National Soccer League match in the early 90s at the same club that George Hannah (Jags physio mid 2000s) played for and sat beside him at the post match meal
  19. To me they were the best Jags team ever! I think I only missed a couple of the games of the tournament, but made sure I was at the semi final and final. I've still got the programme from the falkirk game and my dad's ticket (which has featured in one of the cup final youtube videos). Unfortunately I seem to have misplaced my cup final programme when I renovated my house last year, but I'm still looking and hoping
  20. I used PPV and was really please with the quality (if not the result). I put a comment about on the nomads forum.
  21. I used ppv and it connected in Melbourne exactly at midnight eastern Australian time. I had my laptop connected with an HDMI cable to my tv and the picture and commentary were both excellent. It dropped out for a few minutes during the 1/2 time break but reconnected just in time for the second half. The only downside was watching the goal at nearly 2am. I was gutted, but appreciated experiencing the elations and frustrations I used to go through at Firhill in the 60s and 70s.
  22. only a red card if it denies an obvious goal scoring opportunity
