  1. On loan from Motherwell until January. Been injured.
  2. Didn't see it, the balaclava obstructed my view.
  3. Just watched the highlights and as you say it takes a deflection of the Airdrie defender over the keeper and in of the post. Diack moves at the back post as if he has knocked it in and then celebrates. That's what made me think he had scored the goal at the game.
  4. Agree. As i mentioned in my just in post, Airdrie are a good passing and moving team, but they lost. I have seen us pass the ball about and losing games and posters on this forum saying we should be more direct. I know Airdrie had a chance or two to equalise near the end, but we also had chances to increase our lead particularly in the first half. Two chances stand out for me, when Fitzpatrick put a great ball into the Airdrie box and nobody got a foot on it for a tap in and Diack should have probably done better with another Fitzpatrick ball that Diack got past the keeper but also went the wrong side of the post. I know again as i said earlier it was a game of two halves but we did get the 3 points and have an 8 point lead over Airdrie who are 5th. Lets enjoy the win as there will be other games that we will lose and that will give posters a chance to comment on our faults. Also as mentioned by Dools, well done to the ground staff who got the pitch playable and the surrounding area safe so that the game could go ahead.
  5. A game of 2 halves. First we played well and Fitzpatrick was tormenting their full back. Airdrie are a team who play the ball well and their players move into good spaces. Second half was a bit like a training session where one team attacks and the other defends apart from the odd time we never held onto the ball in the second half. Thankfully we held on and got 3 good points. When i heard the team i wondered who would get the goal/s today but Diack did well and looked lively and i don't know if he got a touch at the second goal but his presence caused confusion when Fitzpatrick put the ball in.
  6. I remember years ago clearing a path from our front door so that young Robert's powerchair could get thru the snow and into our vehicle. The lengths we go to to get to a game. Hope you have a safe journey and Thistle make it worth the effort.
  7. From Thistle Facebook page. Game on. Pitch in perfect condition and surrounding area being cleared.
  8. We could also have 10 minute sin bins for cynical fouls and dissent and only team captains allowed to talk to refs.
  9. Great news. Would like to see Jack McMillan extend his contract.
  10. H,H,H,H H,A,A,A A,A,H,A H,A,H,A Thanks @BowenBoys. Good to speak to you and your youngest on Saturday,
  11. I think it depends if it is on TV. If it is on tv VAR will be in operation if not i think the clubs can decide. Iirc Livingston against ICT last season did not have VAR because of the cost.
  12. I didn't think that Alston's goal would've been bettered by anybody playing for Thistle this weekend, i was wrong.
  13. Yes,that is Lewis. Looks a real find, reminds me of Alan Hansen when he started with us.
  14. Agree, i thought it was high and wide, happily not.
  15. Agree, could also add Muirhead. Good day at the office all round.
  16. Got mine today at the game. McInroy, Neilson and McDonald is our January line up.
  17. We started slowly. Didn't really do much in the first 25 minutes or so after that we were more on the front foot. A brilliant goal by Alston and then Fitzpatrick's bullet header made it 2-0, 5 minutes or so into the second half game over as Aiden scores his second and Thistle's 3rd. Good all round performance from the team and Fitzpatrick deserved his MOTM award. Special mention for Lawless, Williams, Neilson and Stanway.
  18. For games not covered by season ticket i go up to portacabin behind JHS and get my ticket there on the day of the game. IIRC before covid you could add games not covered by the season ticket on to the ticket either via online or a phone call to the office.
  19. Thanks. Should be back on Saturday.
  20. Hope you enjoyed your break. Men's 3rd Round H,H,H,A A,A,H,H H,H,H,H H,H,H,A H,A,A,H Women's 3rd round H,H,H,H H,A,A,H H,H,A,A A,A,A,A Thanks @BowenBoys
  21. Agree. I have already said i wasn't at the game today so cannot comment on our performance. Morton are bottom of the league, but imo it was never going to be an easy game. Although they have lost their last 2 league games i felt they were unlucky against Dunfermline last week not to get at least a draw. They are in a battle at the bottom of the league and are in danger of being cut adrift. Teams in that position never make games easy. We are now 5 points ahead of Airdrie and 8 points ahead of Dunfermline and Ayr, although Dunfermline have 2 games in hand. So our next home league game against Airdrie is another big game. Win that and we are consolidating our top 4 place. Brian Graham is the sort of player that you either love or loathe. If he is playing for your team, you love him but if not, you loathe him. I don't know how long his suspension will be but i just hope it is not a costly one for us.
