Did you know it was actually former player Gary Fraser who recommended him to us

What happened to Gary Fraser? He had so much potential and played well when promoted.  Then moved down pyramid Peterhead, Broomhill, Glenafton.

  2. We played well.  Should have been more up before their equaliser with bad decisions by Fitzy and McKenzie.

I really don't like all these subs at the end where we finish with a team far weaker than the one we start with.  Their goal gave me the heebie jeebies which lasted a short time thankfully with the full time whistle coming quickly.

If Robinson stays fit and gets a run of games I think he will become a very important player for us in the run in.

We midd Bannigan in the midfield IMHO. He can help keep possession and impact the pace of the game.

    Exactly

one point off the play offs = a sacking

    simply disgraceful

and the only conclusion that I can reach is because various people with influence didn't like him

You could very well be correct but the old board who made the decision are gone so you need to move on.

Just a gentle reminder that the great defender of all things Thistle, jj, was desperately flogging the idea that we should turn into a feeder club for Barnsley and Nice a few years back.

I never understood at the time why he was prosecuting this case so vehemently, but I always wondered if he stood to financially gain personally if it went through.

I don't think that's fair.  Got to respect anyone who puts their £ into the club.

Why were the Jags Foundation making side eyes signing imminent noises on Twitter a few days back? Surely a loan of one of ours doesn’t constitute signing news? 🤣

It was to do with the release of the fan survey I think

Appreciate Doolan saying he made a mistake with his subs but in doing so I think he has highlighted the general problem he and McDonald have.

Doolan thought the issue was Lawless not getting the ball in the air and Graham not having the speed to worry Livi's defence. That to me was a miss-diagnosis of the problem and by quite some margin which makes me wonder if McDonald and Doolan need some help.

Yesterday we were getting pulled apart down our left side with Livi playing in the gap between Milne and Fitzpatrick. Our right side was fairly solid but as we started to loose the left side Bannigan had to come across and we started to lose the centre as well. Stanway didn't play badly but he is nowhere near ready to take on a midfield of Livi's quality.

I actually think our squad this season might be better placed to have a go at the playoff but I think McDonald and Doolan need someone more experienced in the stand not involved in coaching who can give them a different opinion of what is and isn't working during a game.

One other thing - the pitch is again looking pretty bare in the usual areas. What's this years excuse?

That's a great take on the game. 👍  Dools held his hands up on his subs. Perhaps a change in midfield would have been better.  I thought Adeloye coming on was the right idea and if that wonder shot was 1 inch to the left it would have been 3-1.

  7. Was there an option to refurb tenements or at the time were they so dilapidated and people were so scunnered they wanted out of them?

My Dad moved from a tenement in Possil aged 5 with outdoor toilet, gas lighting in close, Grandparents in 1 living room/kitchen, 2 aunties in other and him, my Gran and Grandpa in other.  A bit cramped.

And are the benefactors all wrong because they should be putting all their money into the men’s team because that is all that matters

It's all that matters to me

Having an academy also creates future supporters, even if they don't make the first team. Not just the kids, but parents and friends can become regular supporters.

I don't really buy that. Players bounce between academies however they feel their career will benefit.

Agree - hope they are identified and told to compensate for drum. However, assuming they are young too, I think a lifetime ban would be over the top - maybe banned for rest of season? Young people do stupid things and more often than not, they grow out of it.

Meet the captain and manager who will explain the behaviour does not help the club. They are you so daft and can learn.

Tried the Scottish channels I have here in England and BBC iplayer but no joy yet.

If you have Virgin Media you get all the bbc regional channels so BBC Scotland would be on that.

Also if you put in a Scottish setting on iplayer so BbBC One defaults to BBC One Scotland
