  1. ATS to Celtic , allegedly a done deal and will be announced next week. This from someone who works in the SFA
  2. So if the 3 weeks of work is the main reason then do it all before the season starts. Tell fans they will be moved for any games involving Celtic/Rangers , sort out a seat beforehand and give the fans a ticket for that seat when you issue the season ticket. Or sell a ST without the Celtic game(s) Easily sorted and doesnt need this sort of crazy blanket decision which is ruining a lot of goodwill the club had built up.
  3. If they really want to use the NS for Celtic/Rangers games then make it only for those and make it completely clear up front. Simple as that.
  4. Nope , we got there just after 2:30 and were in the ground about 5 mins later.
  5. I can tell you that was Celtics policy from someone who worked there for 5 years and dealt with ticket sales to other clubs. They left a couple of years back but dont think it will have changed.
  6. Legends , 33rd St beside the Empire State. Football in the basement bar pretty much all day and even tried to get the Cowdenbeath Ramsdens Cup game for me last year when I was there
  7. Have never understood why clubs of our size dont partner with various online retailers such as spreadshirt/cafepress/vistaprint and use them to provide t-shirts/polos etc. All that is needed is an agreement on the design to be used and the club get paid for every one sold (the design that is) and a % of the total item cost. Removes the need to hold large stocks, gives a great online presence. Only draw back is that there is no up front fee and nothing is guaranteed.
  8. The German model is where I can see every club heading towards http://www.supporters-direct.org/news-article/football-finance-whats-the-big-deal-with-german-football
  9. 3 from 9 is what anyone with a sensible head on wouldve been delighted to get from the last 3 games. I dont think we played as well as we have in recent weeks and Aberdeen were excellent and clinical. Nothing to panic about. Now lets beat the Midden on Saturday
  10. £1.5m split 11 ways so just over £100k each for every SPL club
  11. Every time I have won something , £20 and 3 signed balls, I have had a letter from the club. Every person I know that has won something has had a letter through advising them of their prize and with a cheque attached if they won cash or a number to call to arrange pickup of the signed things or arrange a day for hospitality. Would get on to them ASAP
  12. I think the club have to be given the chance to explain what has gone wrong before any official complaint is made. Then if the answer is unacceptable then the complaint goes to the regulator/whoever. IMO the complaint should come from the JT in the first instance as they are the "independent" auditors of the CF. Would finally give them a chance to prove they are worth something to the fan base.
  13. S/O are sent from people NOT collected by the club. Just pointing that wee technicality out. So people will still be sending in their monthly payments to the club just now
  14. They cant use Paypal. It was investigated as part of the 1876 Club and Paypal rules prevent payments being taken for "Lottery" use. The club were advised and given the results of my questions to Paypal. They also did their own investigations as well. So that is not the issue with the delays IMO. PT is correct that the target was £100k, I understood it was nearer £70k it was making for the club but in any case it is not making the target they set for it. It should be the simplest thing in the world to run, its not difficult to check who has paid and then make sure they are in the draw then sort out the prizes every month. To me there are a lot of questions the club needs to answer on this, especially why they havent been able to carry out the draw for 2 months now? How are they going to resolve the issue ? How are they going to rebuild the trust with people who are paying up to £20 a month into the CF? What are they going to do to make up for the missed draws? Brings me onto something else I have been thinking in that the CF needs to be redesigned. Its still a good system, it followed the 1876 Club idea that was an amalgamation of a number of other clubs fundraisers into something that made sense to me. However when you look at the likes of Morton, Raith and other clubs who have lottery systems that are available for sale online and through small shops in the local area, then look at the higher value prizes they can give out you see we are missing a trick here. Something needs to be done with this either an updated prize list or change to something completely different. Gonna be interesting seeing what they come out with after all this settles.
  15. Supposedly only the restricted view seats nearest the office part of the main stand still on sale for Hearts fans. So easily in excess of 2000 sold. A few m8s from work are heading through so should be good fun as long as we win or at worst draw Way to excited about this game , havent felt this way about a season in many years. Its ******* brilliant
  16. Keeping the ball will be key to anything we do this year. All our players are comfortable taking the ball and passing it on. The one additional thing is patience from fans. Too many people still scream "get it up the park" when the best option is to pass the ball around and try force a mistake. I get the sense our team are disciplined and are happy to keep the ball and wait for the mistakes to happen , like v County where their keeper fluffed 2 clearances, and for the 3rd goal where the defence were still trying to play offside when Craigan hit the ball through to Bannigan they were more concerned about Baird and Lawless on the other side. Very impressed so far , they key game is this Friday. If we can get anything from it and keep 16 points clear of Hearts I will be happy
  17. Probably none. Was always gonna be the case our first game would be moved just a matter of what timeslot and as they wouldnt give Celtic the Friday night one ours was the next logical game to move as it will be our flag day. Shame for a few people to miss out as they are at work/family commitments but thats life in the top league when you take the TV money and they move the games
  18. Really should be a similar policy to the NFLs where a player cant use social media 90 mins before or after the game and cant talk about the game for a certain number of days before it (things like injury situations etc) Heard murmurings this may be a new SPFL policy across all teams from the usually good Hibs source in work as he thinks this may apply to their players as well.

    Pre-Season

Lancaster or back to Norn Ireland please Failing that at least somewhere we can get a train to or travel and stay overnight , also on a Saturday so I dont need to take time off work
  23. Stewards and Police handled it really well. They knew people would want to go on the pitch and let them do it. Nice orderly trooping off - including one guy with his kid planting the flag on the centre spot Dont see the issue TBH, all good natured and no malice (although some Pars fans seem to have their knickers in a twist about a few fans goading them ) All it needed was someone to bring out a football for 200 a side and everything was perfect.
  24. Really cannae wait for after the game, gonna be a mass party wherever everyone ends up
  25. Home to Hibz or Aberdeen. Will be an excellent crowd plus I can drag the junkies or sheep worriers along from my work for a good boozy session after we horse them 4-0
