4th goal is an absolute cracker IMO. Long pass to O'Donnell and a great ball across the box that either Lawless or Welsh could put in , Welsh did thankfully Excellent team performance and apart from the last all very well worked goals. What a game to come back to after 5 weeks away

The Police have said that at the moment it will be over 16s only , that is the end of any argument at the moment. If everything continues as it is doing just now then the One Thistle guys could speak to the Police and see if they are willing to allow say 12+ into the stand , perks of the Thistle Ultras scheme would be a good way to put it. Sign up for a season ticket and membership of the older kids schemes and the club will allow you into the North Stand to sing the sweary songs if you want. Anyone misbehaves and they are punted back to the JHS. Just my thoughts on a sensible way to approach this as the season progresses.

If ZombieRangers get to the final it will be at Hampden as that is the largest neutral SFL ground. WOuldnt be at Parkhead as thats techincally a SPL ground and cant be used by SFL. Would love us to get to the final and play them at Hampden, would get over 30k people that and make some cash plus a chance to turn over that zombie ******* bigotfest of a club. (plus i will miss the semi final as im on holiday )

If our 3rd goal had been scored in the EPL or La Liga it would be getting constant replays on Sky Sports News. Fantastic tracking back from Paton then the tackle and quick crossfield pass was excellent. The control and finish from Erskine was outstanding. Wonder how many more superlatives I can fit into one post Managed to convince a few people I know down south to watch the game and they loved it , thought the atmosphere from such a small (to them) crowd was excellent and the style of football we are trying to play is the way everyone wants to see the game played. just one really good thing from the club , to have the Under 16s free on the advertising rotation on the boards was a cracking idea , hopefully if there were any neutrals watching and they like what they saw they head along to the game.

The Alba coverage is excellent , in a way it forces you to watch the game and not listen to the commentators as most of us wont have a clue what is being said. As for Billy Brown, if he thought Raith deserved something out that game then he is an even bigger idiot that I think

Exactly. Too many fans stuck in the 1960s/70s and expect the kind of kick and rush football that era was "famous" for. Heard numerous people yelling to get it up the park last saturday. Only when these dinosaurs realise that football has changed will clubs be able to play the kind of football we are trying to play this season. Erskine is one of the best players at the club , when he went off against Hamilton the shape of the team went to shit and we started punting the ball forward. Take a wider view of the game and watch the positions the likes of Erskine and Lawless take up then you will see why they are so key to the formation we are playing and the football we want to play

Regardless of what happens with Eddie Prentice and the CF it is in serious need of being revamped. Things we should be looking at - turning it into a proper lottery with £1 a shot (current payments of £20, £10 and £5 get you multiple entries into the lottery) - This allows a higher prize to be generated with various rollovers etc pushing the prize to say a max of £10k - Also allows online payments to be taken using credit cards etcsetup to cover monthly, quarterly and annual payments - Can have extra draws for "uniquely Thistle" prizes , things like a seat on the bench at a preseason game , travel on the team bus to an away game etc Look at the way its run by http://www.rosscountyfootballclub.co.uk/lottery.aspx , http://www.clydefc.co.uk/supporters-trust/lottery/ etc and its clear to me that while what we do is good it can be done so much better with a few tweaks. If the club didnt want to look at moving to a lottery system then they will need to look at changing the prizes in some way as the current setup is a bit stale. Its really not that difficult to make this even more of a fundraiser for the club.

Much better clearer to read IMO. The only thing I would change is to host the highlights on a YouTube channel and embed it into the page. Keeps hosting costs down as its all streamed from YouTube plus the highlights can be put into widescreen

Thought Craigen and Muirhead cost us a goal each tonight , Craigen missplaced a pass to the QP player who ran about 5 yds and lobbed Scully , great finish. Muirhead was defo at fault for the 3rd as he missed the tackle and Scully was wrong footed as the ball went into the corner. Scully skuffed a backpass in the first minute and his confidence went from there although I dont think he was at fault for anything bar the free kick which appeared to go right through the wall. He really needs to go on loan to get a consistent run of games , he has the potential but needs the game time badly and at the moment he wont get that at Thistle. Strange in that although we didnt really have a horrendous perfomance we still shipped 4 goals.It really showed that the team that was put out tonight has very little experience. JM should have a wee look at his team selection and see that he took QP too lightly and we got very lucky and hopefully learn from that. Also shows that when we remove 4 or 5 from our first 11 we will struggle , although I dont think we ar any different to any other team in our league in that regard. Still 5-4 games are something you dont see very often , glad I went , nerves now returning to normal

I think you can call this a success. 3 guys from Mull were down for the game , went behind the goals and thankfully lost their voices for a while after the game Sounded good and defo added to the atmosphere. Didnt know about the "piped" noise till after the game , just thought it was an echo but that worked quite well too.

If they had shown some remorse or even issued an apology from someone back when all this shite started then I may (prob about a 0.00001% chance) have had a different view on things but they way they have carried on with the WATP pish and McCoists behaviour towards just about everyone just sums up why everyone in Scottish football hates the ex-club and all it stood for. The new one will be the same but how long will it last before going tits up ?

Thing is its not just at Thistle games you hear this. People are stuck with some idea that 1960/1970 style football will still work when quite frankly the game has moved on and we as a nation have failed to adapt to it. I think McNamara is one of the new breed of coaches that looks at the games more scientificly and its not about finding the biggest and fastest players out there its more about finding clever players who can play in a number of positions. Said yesterday that he has signed players to play a number of formations (we have played 3-5-2, 4-3-3, 4-4-2 from what I have seen in the preseason games) and a type of football which he wanted to play last year and didnt have the players to do so. Enjoyed the weekend games, thought we tried to play some good football and looked as though we have a lot of competition for places as none of us could agree on a definitive starting 11 , first time I can remember this in years. Positive about the season ? Really trying not to be , if we cna go out and beat Clyde and Forfar it will set us up nicely for a big game with Falkirk which will give us a better idea of how the season will pan out.

Given what my bro has just told me about the police around any venue that has Olympic athletes staying in it then this will have been a police decision. One of the hotels in the town is completely sealed off apart frolm one way in with full metal detectors and car scanners plus at least 4 armed police and any number of security guys.
