  1. There was an interview with Mark Roberts in today's Herald - he was confident the pitch would be fine. Also nothing on Ayr Utd or PTFC site which is hopefully a good sign too
  2. Got to disagree, had 3 weans with me on Saturday so couldn't use our normal seats - sat in fron row of hospitality seats. Very nice and comfy they are too
  3. Confirms how much we dominated the game. Difficult to tell if Fox was impeded for 2nd goal, certainly no chance with the shot. Agree their keeper was MotM
  4. 1.Scott Fox 2.Paul Paton 3.Aaron Sinclair 4.Kyle Hutton 5.Scott Robertson 6.Alan Archibald 7.Paul Cairney 8.David Rowson 9.Kris Doolan 10.Christie Elliot 11.Tommy Stewart Looks like Jackie's going for 4 3 3. fingers crossed Hutton, Cairney & Rowson can run the midfield
  5. Certainly the worst game of the season, both sides were rubbish. First goal, Elliot chased a long ball over the top - his pace forced the keeper to come out of his box and his clearence hit Elliot and fell to Doolan who rolled it into an empty net. Nothing of note for rest of the half 2nd halh, elliot had a one on one with their keeper but a good save, then Doolan had a header clered off the line - should have been game over. Fox needlesly came for a cross ball at the edge of the box but was beaten to it and headed into an open goal. Erskine came on, beat two men, got into the box and was brought down but no penalty. Queens had a great shot come back off the post before we broke, Stewart played Rowson through who squared it to elliot to slot home. all Queens for last 5 mins. Best players - Cairney, Paton, Rowson, though the defence was really dodgy but good to get three points
  6. What? He'd probably never heard of Thistle a few weeks ago
  7. cyril, as per earlier suggestions contact Ami at the club re a party, I'm sure the club will help. For half time announcement just contact Lance gilmour (you'll find him in the members section on here) Lance does the PA and is always looking for announcements etc. exually Tom Hosie will gladly put a mention (and photo) in the program for you all the best
  8. With Paton and Campbell do we need another right back? Though if he can provide cover in the centre that would be a plus
  9. Original plan was to have red shorts and agree it looks far better than black. A bit unique to have the same shorts/socks for home & away strips so guess it might save people a few quid
  10. Even with twelve men don't know if we'd win
  11. Terrible first half - was praying we would go in only one down. Much improved 2nd half. Cariney was my MotM. Erskine was poor, again - don't know if he is in wrong position or lacking confidence but waste of a jersey today. Two ok to good perfromances - no points
  12. wasn't at the game tonight but on Saturday douglas made a good save from a Paton shot, an ok save from a header and they cleared the ball off the line in the last minute so while we haven't scored unfair to say the keeper has had "nothing to do"
  13. Was 4-4-2 with Erskine dropping back into midfield - suspect we'll play 4-3-3 against weaker teams
  14. to be fair I thought we were very lucky when ref gave us a free kick after Fox tried to dribble his way our of his own box - was never a free kick and should have been a goal to Dundee. Refs make wrong decisions all the time, over the season they balance out

Erskine will drive us crazy this season - great one week, rubbish the next. This was one of his rubbish weeeks where he couldn't control anything - glad he got it out of the way today. Paton - looked really rusty last Saturday, a bit better today but will improve. I thought Brannigan was the weakest link, I almost prefer Cairney. - jackie tried Jamie Campbell in the midle - perhaps that's an option?
