  1. This was posted on the Academy Facebook page on 21st March: Academy Director Update: ‘It’s been just over a week now since all football in scotland was put on hold for the foreseeable future. This has presented numerous challenges for everyone, and we are no different at the academy. Following the advice of the governing bodies all academy group activity is currently cancelled until further notice but we have been working behind the scenes to ensure all of our staff, players and families will remain active and connected in the weeks ahead. I contacted all of our staff in the early part of last week to inform them there will be no changes to our staffing or financing in the months ahead and all coaches will remain active (and paid) as we move to an innovative new way of working. We will look after our people as much as we can. We have also been busy developing a new, innovative online learning resource that will be launched on Monday. Our players and their families will have access to online coaching, training resources and group challenges so our academy community stays connected. We have had great input from several first team players who will be contributing to our new structure while they continue to train at home. Thanks to all of the guys who have bought into the ideas and contributed so far. It’s a challenging time for us all but sticking together and staying connected is one way we can all support each other through these challenges. Our new way of working will be launched on Monday and all players & families will be contacted with further details. Look after yourselves, your families and those who need support in your local communities. Hopefully see you all soon! Best wishes, Scott
  2. Just a reminder that if you are now shopping online or doing more than normal please use easyfundraising as that helps our club. It is quick and simple to sign up and does not cost you anything extra: https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/ Keep safe and thanks for your support!
  3. Both are excellent but if I had to choose it would be option 2.
  4. Yes, but hard to score one that the ref takes off the spot!
  5. I did think at the time the ref reversing his (correct) penalty award in the last QoS game would have consequences but after 36 games had been played.

  8. If this is to be believed the season is over: https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/5387346/boris-johnson-scottish-premiership-over-celtic-hearts/?utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1584224996
  9. Given the current situation there might be a need for some people to shop online more than usual so please remember to use easyfundraising if you are doing any online shopping as the raises funds for our club. If you are not signed up you can do so very quickly and it does not cost anything (apart from what you purchase of course): https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/ Thanks for your support!
  10. Stick me down for £10 to sponsor a player. I will put in the dedicated thread as well but remember that if you are doing more online shopping as a result of the current situation please use easyfundraising as that raises funds for our club: https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/
  11. I was thinking about harsh winters but this situation is having the same impact. I was amazed to read the SPFL has no cash reserves! As we have already seen fans are trying to do what they can to help but there will be people who are suffering financially as well so tough times ahead it seems.
  12. Good to see the Working Group are looking for people's opinions via both e-mail and face to face. Hopefully people will take both opportunities: https://partickthistlefcworkinggroup.com/we-need-your-views/
  13. The first prize this evening was £295 and the winning numbers were: 1st - 126151 2nd - 126060 Again apologies to those in the John Lambie Stand, we should be sorted for Saturday. Thanks for your support!
  14. Tickets will be on sale this evening. If it is raining you will find me inside the JH Stand (same end). Thanks for your support!
  15. The next two games which are both at home are going to be crucial so let's hope a couple of draws have given the players some confidence heading in to them.
  16. Well done to both of our U18s who started today for Scottish Schools U18 against Northern Ireland with Gospel scoring our goal in a 1-1 draw. Whilst there are areas that definitely need to improve at our club there are still positives out there
  17. The Working Group has its own website and an e-mail address if you wish to contact them: https://partickthistlefcworkinggroup.com/
  18. Given the ref's overall performance I thought he was going to let Banzo run up then grab the ball like Lucy used to do to Charlie Brown!
  19. I think enough people on here would know that when you have an objective the SMART model is very useful and, in my opinion, there was not a lot there that fitted in to that. Lots of nice words though.
  20. Tight but not offside which is what the assistant must have thought as he did not raise his flag at all. What happened to the attacker being given the benefit of the doubt, has that gone the same way as bookings for players kicking the ball away at free kicks?
  21. Apologies to those in the John Lambie Stand for the lack of a seller tonight - we had a late call off. The first prize was £305 and the winning numbers were: 1st - 118304 2nd - 119153 Thanks for your support and see you in one week.
  22. That would include our parachute payment, money from Celtic being in Champions League plus we got Celtic in the League Cup then the 2 games against Hearts in the Scottish Cup. I have edited the original post as Alloa and Morton have submitted their accounts now. Ayr's accounts run to end of June so they are not due to submit until end of this month. One thing that slightly shocked me is the number of clubs who have what seem to be quite small amounts of cash in the bank. What happens if there is a really harsh winter and they have several weeks without a home game?
  23. Just to remind you that tickets will be on sale at tomorrow night's game against QoS so remember to get yours to be in with a chance of winning. Thanks for your support!
  24. As we start a new month remember that you can raise funds for our football club by using easyfundraising for your online purchases: https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/ Let's work together to raise as much as possible for our football club. Thanks for your support!
  25. Correct, I will edit the original post to make that clear.
