I hope Tom is not reading this as it appears nobody read Saturday's programme (certainly not David Beattie's page). The club have received 40 applications, the Board will wittle that down to around 12 then use contacts within the game to get more info on those and if they are the right fit for the club. That will reduce the number down to about 6 (Archie will be one of them) and they will all be interviewed and the best one selected. There is no fixed timescale for this.

The money raised during the last quarter of 2012 will be getting sent to the club now by easyfundraising (they send it 60 days after the quarter ends). I have e-mailed the club asking them to put something about easyfundraising on the website when they receive the payment. Hopefully there are more than 62 people interested in this and we will get an increase in members as time goes on. I would hope that it would not take a huge amount to get the squad sorted and that we would then use some to further improve the youth set up. The most important thing for me, and I know it is not glamorous, is debt reduction - the sooner we can be debt free the better.

Normally I would be here telling you the first prize and the winning numbers but I was too busy having my coffee and pie at that point today (not a prawn sandwhich) so I will have to wait until the details are posted on the website but I am sure you gave the sellers your usual excellent support today so a big "thank you" again.

The thing that you don't pick up from these sources is the togetherness that is around the whole club and how everyone is pulling together. Whether you think Archie is the right person for the job or not is up to you but at this crucial time he is the manager and along with the players deserves nothing less than our full support whether that is at the game or from behind a keyboard.

Like buses you wait for ages for a home game then two come at once. 50/50 tickets will be on sale again on Saturday but not from me as I will be enjoying hospitality however there will be a replacement and the regular sellers will all be there so make sure you get your ticket as we are looking to raise as much as possible for youth development this season as possible.
