They were going absolutely mad for it on the radio. They are clearly wanting thistle to win on the radio; no hint of neutrality

The length of our continuous run in third place must be pretty unique. I can see it happening when top or bottom, but to hold a mid-table place for that amount of time seems very unusual.

Actually it is more. Morton can get to 58 if they win all their games, so we need 13. Airdrie can get to 60 even if Morton beat them.
I reckon 2 more wins will be enough for top 4. Hopefully we don't need to endure the nail-biting last regular day trauma of last season, and we can just look forward to the trauma of the play-offs instead.

Sorry if it’s not PC, but I would add that the game at Gayfield is far more important than any kick about at Tynecastle
Yeah, it's LGBTQ+field

....so perhaps tomorrow will be very tight - would take a point tbh.
Seems to be a mantra!
If we just take a point every week through the season we probably get relegated!

That's good. Apologies, I was in a cynical moment

Claire Docherty needs to sue someone for that pin.

I'd say that's generally very unusual at this level of Scottish football.
Though might have happened for us already, as we have very few non-Scottish players.

I thought we were good today. When you're on a run without a win nothing comes easily. You have to drag yourself out of it. We dominated throughout but we didn't win comfortably because we're a bit vulnerable. But we did well and got over the line. Very happy.

We are only 9 points above 9th, so I wouldn’t rule out a playoff on current form.
I would.
We're 8 or 9 points above about 4 teams. The chance of them all catching us are virtually non existent. We might need one more win or a few draws to be absolutely sure, but even on current form we'll manage that.
-
Fair play, that's three recent games where we've gone two behind and come back to equalise. On the other hand, we've also let other teams do it to us. The old adage of the first goal being vital doesn't seem to apply in our games these days

That form table is a bit weird. 8 points from 5 games is nothing special. Thistle need to be looking to win to get back on track.

I agree. He got a bit more frustrating in a few moments as the game went on, but was fairly even handed and it made for an enjoyable contest.
Don't get me wrong, I was on my feet several times throughout the game, complaing about what the ref had missed and how the last 4 decisions had all gone against us.
But he allowed the game to be played. So many don't. I'd have that every week and don't get me started on VAR. Referees will make mistakes. As long as they're honest I think we have to accept it.

I thought Fitzpatrick did a lot of things right. His corners first half were excellent.

Much better. I'd say the changes all came off. Mitchell looked decent, Williams put in some really good tackles, Neilson looked mire confident in midfield and Robinson was constantly busy and causing problems.
Macbeth also looked useful and the whole team looked better with a bit if extra height for defending.
-
Neilson looks good in midfield.

Okay. Interesting. Big changes

Where people come first... And come back again

MItchell's stock has risen massively by not playing

If the target is third and you are third, I'm not sure it's time to talk about changing the manager.
Also (and I know this is controversial) I'm not sure that failing to achieve a target is necessarily a sacking offence. I think, particularly where an employee is new to a role, continuity and opportunity for learning and correcting mistakes has value.
We need to see improvement from the last 2 games, that kind of form can't continue indefinitely. But there's not a great deal of jeopardy in our position right now. Almost certainly we'll be in the Championship again next season. Doolan should be given a chance to get things right.

Just a few weeks ago. Just for context

Last October into November
18 goals in 5 games
4 at Aberdeen
4 against Queens Park
4 at Ayr
3 at Raith
3 at DundeeThen 2 at Morton
It still doesn’t make last 4 games any better conceding 13 goals
Might be worth considering that it's mostly the same defence
-
9 goals scored n 4 games!

We concede when we don't want,
we concede when we don't want....

20 weeks in 9th in the Premier League is a weird one!
