  1. When does the window close? No word yet on Aaron TS?
  2. Apparently his tweets are far better
  3. I thought he was talking about me!
  4. I think Archie's done well. On paper, purely based on results, his record is pretty decent. He took us on a great run to win the league and his return in the Premier is probably on a par with expectations. Most people are agreed that we've been a bit unfortunate results wise, we maybe deserve more, and I see that as grounds for optimism. But more to the point, and my issue with the whingers, is that as fans we can do nothing, but we can support the manager and the team. Regardless of personal opinions, which are obviously subjective, abusing players and writing off the manager can have no positive benefit, whereas getting right behind them, showing that we are proud of what they have achieved in the last year, and being positive about what can be achieved in the months to come, could really make a difference. I have no doubt that the fans contributed to last season's success, the players said it constantly, and we can do that again.
  5. I hope it has been a place where people have felt able to vent their fury without fear of persecution. An oasis of pish, if you will. I'm slightly surprised that some of those that we have reached out to, those most in need, have not taken the opportunity, but I understand why it is difficult and we should not give up on them.
  6. Looking at wiki, his height could be an asset!
  7. We have a thread for this. Please use it.
  8. He should have got rid of all of them. Even the players themselves know that they're not good enough for this level; they should be destroying teams like St Mirren and Hibs who are clearly crap! And three defeats in nine games is unacceptable from a team that I didn't expect to get any more points this season. Bring in Archie Knox to offer advice. Surely the manager wouldn't object to working with his own Dad!
  9. I'm being rounded on now. Self righteous clique. This isn't right. I'm going to bed.
  10. Just read that Jackie Husband died between these two games. That's sad.
  11. You don't have an answer so you resort to personal insults. Typical. That just proves all my points ever.
  12. The defeat against meadowbank at Firhill, the week before we won promotion vs Forfar, was about the most eerie atmosphere I can remember at a game. That was horrible.
  13. My stag do. Lots of non-Jags pals there. Highlight of my year.
  14. Kindly leave this thread alone and take your happiness elsewhere.
  15. As this seems to infiltrate many other threads, I thought maybe we should start one exclusively for this purpose. Keep it all in here. Maybe it should be pinned. I'll get us started... I've given up hope, players have been found out, Archie doesn't know when to make substitutions, we'd lose a play-off to Hamilton Accies, we can only beat Hearts and they're all still at school, if we go down we'll never come back, the ship has sailed, we're doomed!
  16. I'm sorry but thinking that it's wrong to pick out and relentlessly criticise a promising young player on an open forum, potentially knocking that player's confidence, does not necessarily mean that you think that player played well in his last game. He wasn't at his best yesterday, that opinion does not justify this thread. If you can't see that (and you clearly can't) then post away. You're not helping Partick Thistle.
  17. I though Conrad was pretty good yesterday. I don't think there's too much between him, Picollo and Muirhead, and if he gets his swagger back he's a good option.
  18. I can assure you that Archie reading this forum would not be an encouraging sign.
  19. What I don't get is this "our ship has sailed" attitude, when we're just over half way through the season and within touching distance of three other clubs, passing one of them would make it a great season. This level of defeatism is beyond anything I've ever experienced as a football fan. Fortunately I am pretty confident that these forum dwellers are a small minority. I thought the Thistle support at the game today was excellent.
  20. I'm looking from a fair distance.
  21. Rain's off in Barrhead, and Paisley looks okay from the window. For now
