  1. We seem to have replaced Caldwell's duds with, erm, Bunter's duds …
  2. Correct, but there was an earlier incident to the one you mean (was it with Harvie?). That wee sh1te Dodds was screaming for Bunter to take him off. Actually I was rather delighted to hear Cardle putting himself about.
  3. As regards the penalty, even that horrible wee sh1te Dodds was hypercritical of the referee's decision, absolutely slaughtered him for it. Mind you he spent the other 89 minutes drivelling as usual including saying about 10 times 'Cardle should have been off the park for the kick and the elbow. It did occur to me that in giving the penalty the ref was 'compensating' for having been lenient with Cardle. Terrible result, but at the end of the day, Ayr didn't tear us apart.
  4. Cardle and Zanatta (so far) causing a bit of trouble. Once we go three up I'd like to see Rudden on.
  5. Beginning to get it now; either that or I've p1shed myself. Graham hustling to win the free kick form which he pops it in. What we've lacked.
  6. With the possible exception of Rodden for Zanatta, probably our strongest side. Still waiting for the warm glow to kick in …
  7. I know what you mean. Frankly, I'd still rather see Mansell, Jones, Robson and Saunders go, whether or not we get any new faces in at all.
  8. I'd heard that before too. Totally believe it.
  9. You missed an important bit: you forgot to mention that these people 'aren't real fans'.
  10. Arbroath getting pumped by Falkirk on Tuesday doesn't exactly show us in a great light either.
  11. Some unspeakable cronyism and blatant corruption in those days at the SFA. Alan Rough's autobiography was brutally scathing about the suits at the SFA.
  12. I thought he looked like John Hansen , but equally thought, going by the strip, it was too early for Hansen. Thought the guy on the right was too fair for Ewing - George O'Neill?
  13. Bobby Gray or Tommy Gibb in the foreground? Jackie Campbell to the right?
  14. His performance against Clyde u-20s, where we won 9-1, but should have won 14-1, was nothing to shout. Even Hall and Robson looked standouts in that game.
  15. Just seen it! Could have burst the net. I take it that was big Brian Labone at No.5 looking suitably disgusted.
  16. I agree about the clear out - hasn't gone far enough. As to the fine job, that remains to be seen, but I'm happy to give him time.
  17. I think it's a toss of a con between Cardle and Zanatta; I'd marginally prefer Zanatta because he' younger, but at least Joe always looks as if he's trying a leg.
  18. Yes, I'll take Jones as well, thanks. I think there was a general consensus that Sir Bunter needed to make a complete clear out; logically the bigger the clear out the bigger the impact of the turnover on what little 'stability' there is/has been. Hence why, Saturday's shambles notwithstanding, I think he needs to be cut a lot of slack.
  19. Niven, Hogan and Tinney; Closs Harvey and Cunningham, with Ernie Yard in the forward line somewhere, was my first taste. We'd just lost Sandy Brown to Everton, which baffled me as a 7 year old - how could anybody NOT want to play for Thistle?!! As divine punishment for his treachery Sandy, in later years, was judged by Saint and Greavesie to have scored 'the best own goal of all time' - in a Liverpool Derby. Admittedly St John may have been biassed in his choice.
  20. Cardle, Saunders and potentially Williamson too.
