Definitely all good news, and I don't care if I'm tempting the gods (I'm agnostic anyway), but I think we'll hump the Bunnet XI off the park on Saturday, and I'm not the slightest concerned that we'll be either relegated or in the (downward facing) play offs next May. One question is, does Sir Bunter fling all the new faces in at once on Saturday or does he blend them in gradually - be interesting to see.

No, he was in from the start against Clyde and, apart from his pace off the ball which was good for a man returning from injury, didn't really impress even at that level. Even Robson looked good on that occasion! Seem to remember his missing an absolute sitter early in the game. But yes, in fairness to the player he probably hasn't a chance to prove or disprove himself.

I'd be happy to see every one go except Cole. Add, Mansell, Robson, Gordon please.

Apart from anything else (i.e. us being almost as sh1te as we were under Caldo), they will be out to prove something after their recent humiliation by the other cheek at Parkheid where, frankly, the scoreline grossly flattered them. Since then they've had a week in Dubai, we've struggled against part-timers and slobbered in the mire against the Arabs.

There was a horrible Calwellesque flavour about yesterday: inability to convert when on top; total surrender when we went behind (in his wildest dreams Neilson probably didn't see them scoring four yesterday); incomprehensible substitutions that only made matter worse. That said, I still believe we'll finish between 5ht and 8th.

F------g desperate. Same old same old; abject surrender after the first that reminded me of the Caldwell days, Shankland won’t score an easier goal in the season than that. Couldn't score in a brothel. Throwing high balls at a 6ft 4 keeper. Bunter usually spot-on with subs but Robson for Jones utterly baffling. Looked to be all about limiting the damage, but increased it. Very poor. Austin for Cardle, equally laughable. Sooner we get the new faces in the better. Morton score didn't help. Dread to think about next Saturday.
