  1. Not quite sure what the 'again' is supposed to mean. 'Sooner or later' sounds like a bit 'wait and see what happens'. It could scarcely be worse, so that's probably well on the safe side as far as speculation goes.
  2. I don't give a flying f---, frankly. I would 'prefer' if people would give the Polyanna make-believe world of 'fan ownership' an iota of critical appraisal in the same way that I would 'prefer' it if we had sunshine, clean air, and world peace.
  3. You have just perfectly described some of the TFE position in relation to its critics, but you are unable or unwilling to see that. Some of us can. I don't want Thistle to be owned or directed or influenced by people who I wouldn't trust to run a whelk stall. In some cases the track record is there to see for those who want to : Caldwell's appointment (previous record - 3 wins out of 39 games); various PR disasters (Chesterfield-gate, Doolan-gate) The comparison is perfect. I don't know how I'll sleep tonight worrying about your objection …
  4. I suspect you are talking shite, and making up statistics. 'Wait and see what happens next' is a brilliant strategy. I'm sure most successful businesses are run exactly along these lines.
  5. There were half a dozen (or more) posters who were against the consortium form the start who had no trust in same; they criticised everything they did. There was no valid critique only a campaign to undermine consortium bid before any opportunity to get started. It was a barrage from a small group with nothing positive to say. Funnily enough I don't recall you pointing that out at the time. You didn't complain about polarisation of the fans as a result of this. So don't try to feed us any bogus neutrality about your position.
  6. Recent improvements notwithstanding (and let's face it, even then we've struggled against the basement teams), and always wanting to be proven wrong, it's hard to see past us getting a through humping on Saturday. Still maybe Ayr can do us a favour, and in the game a Cappielow they have to take something off each other.
  7. 100% common sense. Which they don't appear to possess.
  8. There was never any doubt about that. “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it" What 'communications experts' are usually for.
  9. What I thought too ('first two yards are in your head') - and he poked it away with his bad peg too.
  10. GRE - please use the politically correct, gender neutral, organic, holistically vegan, and most importantly, sustainable, term: 'sycophant'. Or you could go Biblical: 'Amanuensis'. Sorry, edited to amend 'Amanuensis': 'Apersonuensis'. He's having great fun with this week's new word isn't he?
  11. There is clearly a generic irony deficiency.
  12. As we both know. Where I come from Bowling Clubs were middle class. Imagine cretins like this running your club.
  13. This is the sort of clown who'll be running your club show in a few months time. Read and weep. Not even fit for a Bowling Club.
  14. Storey?! Well, he was a reject … just like … erm Kevin Nisbet.
  15. Off the bottom of the table. Well, for at least ninety seconds or so.
  16. Can't argue that it's the bad replaced by the mediocre. Used to think there was a decent player inside Slater. Don't know what was wrong with me.
  17. Wouldn't actually put any money on it - in fact I'm beginning to dread the visit from Raith Rovers.
  18. Beginning to look like that now. Still we can look forward to humping the Gyppos at Broadwood next year.
  19. He's never stopped it. Desperate sycophant.
  20. Seem to be giving us a pounding. McCall will be desperate for the half-time whistle. Not many options on the bench, but still can't believe Robson got a game ahead of Slater.
  21. At least Bannigan hasn't been sent off. Yet. Could be big McGinty's turn this week right enough.
