I arrived at the Thistle End very early and followed the steward's instruction to sit in my allotted seat, which was right in the middle of the stand. I thought this instruction was stupid as I expected this area would fill up with young fans who would stand and sing all game. This would be a problem for my 76-year-old legs, as I wouldn't be able to keep standing for 90 minutes, not to mention extra time and penalties. So as the hordes of young fans piled into the centre of the stand I found myself gradually moving further and further in the opposite direction. This is not a complaint! I just want to put on record that every young fan I encountered was polite, cheerful, and helpful. I had brief conversations with many I met and I asked them all the same question; ie had they first started coming to Firhill because of the 'under 16's go free' policy and most said 'yes'. So a big thumbs-up to all these young lads and lassies, and another big thumbs-up to the Board who first introduced this ground-breaking policy.

First game I've seen where only 3 minutes of extra time were added on to the second half, and then 5 minutes were added on to the extra time! I did enjoy hearing the announcer say 'and a big thank you to the three hundred and fifteen away fans.' And how many Thistle season-ticket holders left the ground early to get a place at the front of the queue for Stenny tickets, only to miss the winning goal?

There are only four people on our Board One of them is the only member of the old board who did not decamp with Jaqui Lowe and her gang Two of them are members of the Infamous Four that were given Colin Weir's shares by the previous board, despite them having no backing from, and no communication with, the fan base (who are now supposed to be running the club) The fourth was put forward by the TJF and is the lady who organised the very successful fund-raising campaign for Thistle during the Pandemic Wouldn't it be nice to know exactly how they came to this decision on the fans' behalf

At half time at the Raith Rovers game a Thistle Director (whose name I know) told a pal of mine (whose name I also know) that McCall has NINE new players either signed up on pre-contracts or close to that point. He named a right wing back. This may be why McCall said in a recent interview in the Herald that we weren't scoring enough goals at present, but that wouldn't be the case next season.

I bought a ticket for Inverness just after the information appeared on the Official Website. I thought I had done everything right by clicking on away fan, but now that I look at my ticket I discover that it's for the North Stand!

Many years ago I was in a wee bookshop in Byres Road and he was in front of me in the queue to get Xmas Calendars He had a right go at them for having piles of Old Firm calendars and no Partick Thistle ones We then had a long chat about Thistle out on the pavement. He didn't get to many games but he knew plenty about our results

There were 4 OPR fans sitting behind me at the Dundee United game, and they said that Kakay had repeatedly claimed on their website that he was really enjoying being at Thistle and living in Glasgow, and that he hoped to extend his loan. They thought that QPR had recalled him.

My friend Stewart Leask was a die-hard Thistle fan and regular attender at Firhill . He lived in Milgavie, but he and his wife Linda had a wee cottage on the Isle of Arran which she had inherited. On Sunday 3rd February Stewart and his dog Corrie left this cottage to walk to the Glenashadale Falls. He never came home. A huge search was organised, involving the police, the army, the coastguard helicopter, the local Mountain Rescue Team and scores of volunteers from all over Arran On Wednesday Corrie was found near the carpark for the Falls. On Friday Stewart's body was found in the sea off the Ayrshire Coast. As you can imagine, this long period of uncertainty put an intolerable amount of stress and strain on his wife and family. A huge blow to his family and friends, and another sad loss to the Thistle family, his cheery, smiling face will be sorely missed. We will be putting up a tile to his memory in the Jackie Husband stand.
