From the team rock bottom of the league we have to be more ambitious than that. A win should be the only acceptable result.

Sorry if it’s not PC, but I would add that the game at Gayfield is far more important than any kick about at Tynecastle

Agree 100% in both points. I better check my meds 😂

All the best PTFC Women tomorrow and they have been absolutely brilliant but it is the men's first eleven I follow. Obviously a win for both would be fantastic for the club and the coaches and players.

  2. All set for tomorrow. Kind of sad that this could be our last trip to Arbroath in a while.

Arbroath is probably the best away day in the division by a fair bit. Something for everyone. From some decentvpubs, to smokies and Pleasurekand for the weans, old and young.

We've had some good performances there, as well as a few stinkers.

The hosts have done great in keeping their second tier status and even getting close to promotion and their support has swelled.

That era is coming to an end and putting the above sentiments aside I hope we can follow up last week's improved showing with another win.

We seem to be a streaky team, so hopefully we can finish the league campaign on a positive run and secure third place before heading into the playoffs.

Safe travels to all the fans heading to Gayfield tomorrow.

That was a satisfying win today. There was a lot of emotion in the stands today and a lot of standing ovations. I though BBG and Robinson were outstanding today. McBeth was immense, as was McInroy. Nice to have a win to celebrate for a change on a Saturday night. Hic.

Mcinroy was shite, as usual, imo.

  4. Phew. Well done to the lads. Not been an easy few weeks but good to see BBG, Robbo and Muirhead lead is onto victory.

Never really in doubt, even when we lost the late goal.

Good to get back to winning ways.

  5. Peak Thistle that half. Dominate the first half hour but still give am inept Raith attack a gimme.

Then their first cross into the box and they score. Denis and Mitchell not covering themselves in glory.

Not sure if swapping Aidan and Lawless is working particularly well. Robinson has been decent but Casper McInroy has not been involved too much, thinks he's playing quarterback.

Milne and McMillan need to get involved more going forward.

We really need the next goal here, early doors otherwise another long night awaits.

  6. Should be goals tonight, especially with our keepers all being incapable of keeping weans out of a close.

Not sure about the two big lads in front of a back four as a starting line-up. Then again Stanway seems out the picture and we can't rely on the two ex Killie ghosts to occupy the opposition for 90 minutes, or until they are hooked.

The team really needs a win and it would be great to get that tonight but I have my doubts.

Raith aren't in great form either so it could be another Desmond tonight.

  7. Good to come back but our form is looking like the name of some North Wales village...

I understand why Doolan went with the same set up as last week but I don't fully get Milne being moved in to centre back, when he can be such a strength down the wing and defending when at left back.

Unsurprisingly we didn't create much and there was no defensive benefit from the formation as we slipped rather meekly, 2 - 0 down.

I hope we have a more creative player in the middle of the park vs Raith and Harry at left back, because Ngwenya didn't impress me much.

Hopefully Tomi's injury isn't too bad but looks like he could be out for a while.

    Onwards and sideways...
