  1. New MacBee logo was meant to be slightly different following their administration.
  2. The Scottish Cup seems to start earlier and earlier each season. Here we are though and we face an interesting tussle with HFL leaders Cove. Hopefully we'll start at a later run next season. On paper a straight forward looking tie, but we shouldn't treat our opponents lightly. It's a chance to work on the lessons learned at Falkirk as we should be looking to take the game to our visitors. Will Jackie shuffle the pack a little or look to play his first choice team with an eye on the top of the table clash with the Pars coming up? Dunfermline tried to bring forward their April fixture with Falkirk. Pressley wasn't up for it as he's given their players the weekend off. Decent price structure so would be good to get a couple of thousand fans along to this. Don't think Cove have the biggest support in their league but it is a big game for them and I hope they travel in numbers. I hope the Jags can win and go on another good cup run.
  3. Apart from we don't have one Let's sue Puma and get Spall back in
  4. Hopefully Aaron can get some confidence back from getting a run in the team. Shame about Stuart though as he was just getting into the game against Falkirk when he was chopped down.
  5. Its just a shame Sinclair's distribution and decision making are a bit horse at the moment. Hopefully that will improve if he gets more game time before Bannigan returns to the side.
  6. Toss a coin. Winner gets to play the match at home
  7. We'd be as well letting all away fans in for free going by the last three or four home games·····
  8. Its a shame that our good form has attracted negative tactics and plastic hammer throwers. I reckon it is time to unleash the shug-meister. Kick us if you like, but we'll kick you back harder
  9. Do Livi not have work to do on some turnstyles that were damaged by fire. Could affect capacity. Decent ground but the Livi lounge won't cope with thirsty Jags and Queens fans. I guess the kick off will be 4.05 again?
  10. A good problem for the manager to have. With an Archie free defence we've had back to back shut outs. Archie's last game against Morton we conceded three goals, two of which were from corners. We dealt with a lot more corners, more efficiently against Cowden. Status quo for me. I like it, I like it, I la la like it ····
  11. I think Falkirk were about the only team to have more possesion than us in the first league game of the season. For that reason I'd keep Forbes in midfield. His passing is better than Murray's and he's getting about the pitch now that his match fitness has improved. He also can hit a good free-kick. I feel it's hard to drop any of the starting eleven from last Saturday. Falkirk will be more of a challenge no doubt. They are lacking in experience, especially in midfield so I don't see the need to rush Shug back. Up front Craig has been doing well and I don't think Dods will phase him. Doolan scored a great goal last week but Craig also put in a great shift and created a lot of space for our midfield to exploit. I'd stick with Son of Joe for this one. At the back Balatoni has slotted in really well the last couple of games. Falkirk have some good forward players in Taylor, Weatherston and Higgins. I feel Balatoni would have a bit more pace than Archie for this fixture. In my view, the hardest choice for Jackie to make as Archie has had a great first quarter. So after all that I'd stick with the same team
  12. Who authorised a lot of David Murray's loans from the Bank of Scotland? Ah, that's right, Gavin Masterton, head of handshake banking division.
  13. You're a Thistle fan HJ, therefore a beautiful person irrespective of physical looks. Now where did I put those josticks?......
  14. Forbes did a good job yesterday and seems to work well with Paton. Shug could be struggling to get back in the starting line-up? I think the thing with Forbes is that his legs don't seem to be in proportion to the rest of his body. A bit like Fred Flintstone
  15. Cheers for getting back to me.
  16. Does the bus have plans for a refreshment stop prior to the game?
  17. Could hear the tannoy in the Northy today. I think that suggests that the feed to the Jackie Husband has been stopped. Really enjoying the atmosphere in the Northy. What is the rough attendance in there on a Saturday? 300?
  18. We've scored more league goals at home this season than the rangers have, home or away in their entire history. Pleasing
  19. Christie is a decent player and I think he may better deployed in a wide attacking role. He does some good holding up play. He just seems to be struggling in the goals front. He doesn't seem to find the right places at times and when he does his decision making maybe let's him down. I'm sure its something him and the coaching staff are working on. For me I would have Craig and Doolan through the middle ahead of Elliot for now. When Elliot came on yesterday Doolan got shifted out wide and Elliot went through the middle. Then we stopped scoring although the game was well won by then. It's nice to quibble about minor points at the moment
  20. The fans can be important in getting folk back. Without going over old ground too much a lot of folk can't make every game for whatever reasons. But its better getting folk along to 4 or 5 games a season than none at all. I've been getting a few pals back in the habit and they're liking what they see. Social media could be a good view to let folk know about upcoming games. I think I sent a Ramsdens invitation to a hundred folk the other night. This is cost free but a good reminder for folk. Not up on Twitter much butatches could be trended? on that as well? Would like to see the ub40 concession re-introduced. It's 12 that the crowd are maybe not getting at the moment. We can then highlight our prices for prospective new customers and returnees.
  21. Son of Joe must stay. Linford couldn't score in a barrel of the proverbials
  22. I was thinking this myself. Can't think of a nap hand at half time since I've been watching the Thistle......
  23. Some great play and it was good to see the team create a lot of chances. I got a puff of Fox's cheroot in the second half.
