  1. Not worth going over that scrap too much. In terms of line-up having McInroy and Alston in midfield gives an advantage to the opposition. Alston seems to be all about what he does off the ball and the runs he makes. Drew a couple of fouls and did make a good run into a scoring position early second half. I'm not too sure what McInroy contributed, especially in a game you need your central players digging in and passing the ball. I thought Bannigan was the best of the three and found he was fighting fires at times especially the first half. Rightly subbed as he was on a yellow and maybe lucky not too get another. Also up front, Brian Graham is isolated and also doesn't have the pace to threaten the opposition back line. He needs someone playing closer and I would not be against Adeloye getting a run of starts. I would have Stanway back in the starting line-up. Robinson has done well in last two games so I'd like to see what he can do in the #10 role. I can see a few changes for next week, what they are not so much. The positive too take is we have a good squad with options available to the manager.
  2. What we're the scores for the last round of the women's Scottish Cup, mate?
  3. Thank you @BowenBoys HAHH HHAA AAHH HAAA
  4. I would think so. Depends on if anyone moves out too, I suppose.
  5. Yup, a solid start to the transfer window. Not sure how many more we can expect, but some interesting names linked so far.
  6. Raith credited with an interest in Andy Halliday, who has been mentioned in dispatches, with ourselves. 32 now and not played much for Hearts this season.
  7. I do. Played for Raith vs Dunfermline so no day in the Hampden sun for Danny Boy 😬
  8. Definitely someone happier to sit on the bench 😬 Mitchell is a decent keeper but may be hungry to get back between the sticks.
  9. Anyone know how many other players we have under the same representatives? I'm sure Harry Milne is 😬
  10. Or is he? Same agent as Dowds...
  11. Yup, seems to be Bannigan and Stanway and one of the ghosts 2.0 😂
  12. Third place is ours 😂
  13. Hopefully we can see a rabbit or two pulled out the magic hat this January.
  14. I gave it a generous C- rating 🤣 For me it is the main reason we aren't where Raith are. They recruited better. For a variety of reasons which you stated most of on your previous post, but seem to disregard?
  15. I said most of this in my half-time/ end of year report on page one of the thread.
  16. They signed a solid set of players to add to the core they retained. We lost the core and replaced them with young untried players or more experienced players with dodgy injury records. Unlike the plug and play strategy McCall enjoyed when the budget he was given, allowed.
  17. They have had an insane number of late goals but have gone off the boil lately. Even losing one to Arbroath's reserve keeper who had to play outfield as they were short of numbers. Football is non-binary apart from results and the league table. They have won more games than us but how do you know they've played better? We've played poorly in games but still won them this season. I wouldn't be too surprised if we finish above Raith come season's end but that could be pie in the sky thinking. I'm struggling to get what point you're trying to make? Why not give your half-time report card as the thread suggests? The truth is usually somewhere in the middle of opinion.
  18. With regards to Raith, they have gone from a club making an annual loss of around £150,000 per year in front of 2000 crowds, to almost double that this season. They've signed at least three players with recent Premiership experience. They have new owners who bankrolled Kelty and are now doing the same both on and off the park. They have been able to take less chances in the transfer market, a bit like us over the previous two seasons as they had the ability to sign players outwith the budget of other Championship clubs. May be partly down to timing as they knew where they'd be playing way before us. Mostly will be done to a very healthy budget.
  19. I did before you took the thread in a slightly different direction, mate. There are many factors to take on board. I feel taking them into account the league table is about right. The only games I think we could have taken maximum points in, but didn't were against Raith which could have put a whole different spin on our league position.
  20. Last year's showed 4th wasn't great and we probably underperformed compared to our opposition, but we picked up in form when the new manager came in, attendances inproved and we also had some good attendances in the playoff games. Then there is off field investment as you would struggle to be anywhere near self-sufficient of crowds of 1000 and paying full-time wages without a rich benefactor.
  21. Nobody outwith the actual clubs know their accounts for the season to date. We can only look at logic. One key indicator of income is match day attendance. The following would suggest we are performing above expectation when compared to punters coming through the gate. It also suggests Raith are over-performing with United and the Pars underperforming based on attendance and their perceived income, at the moment. Then again football isn't played on balance sheets... Again, just opinion but that is the nature of football forums.
  22. Are these just for you @Jaggernaut or new forum-wide resolutions? 🤔🤣
