  1. Having watched goals, I'm not sure what more he could've done to save first. It's a freak hit. The second, he just spreads himself and striker gets lucky by mis-hitting shot. It doesn't look great because he scrambles to get it but can't get enough on it.
  2. Yep, packed in. Need to sort this. Poor show.
  3. Good point. Doesn't do much for some of the younger players confidence, when he slates the entire playing squad like that. Sneddon had one of his best games, Mansell tried at least as did fitzpatrick. However, no hint whatsoever, that he may be even slightly responsible for such an abject display. Terrible man management.
  4. Mcginty back in carthorse mode today and gets sponsors MOTM!
  5. ICT game was same. Trying to be too clever and paying too much attention on stopping the opposition playing instead of having faith in our more attack minded players. As with ICT game, by the time Caldwell has sorted out his poor starting line up and formation, he's only giving the players the second half to win the game. Let's try winning games in the first half for a change.
  6. Yet again Caldwell gets starting line up and formation wrong.
  7. Yep, well done indeed. However, you've more or less described Sneddon's first half last week, where he made a stunning stop to ensure Caldwell got out of jail at half time following his botched first half line up and tactics. Think he can feel a bit hard done by to be rewarded with a place back on the bench.
  8. You might just be over-thinking things a little.
  9. This. In a game we had to win, why set up to defend and punt balls up to Macdonald/Mansell? ICT strolled the first half and was a miracle it was still 0-0 at HT. Only when Spittal came on did we give ICT something to think about. Stop trying to be too clever Caldwell and just play a team that will score more goals than the opposition. Big setback. Only positive, Sneddon.
  10. It may well be, I'm not about to start toting it up. However, if it is, this may well have something to do with the fact some proper defenders were also brought in at that time.
  11. It is disappointing, but a point away from home, against an in form team, without two key players isn't that bad.
  12. Not sure he was particularly setting the heather alight at Cowden. Fans seemed to want Mcgurn back in goal and he was on Saturday, so think Lennox just been recalled.
  13. Surprising also that he has so little confidence in his own handling ability that he chooses to punch rather than catch the majority of crosses. Even when unchallenged.
  14. You're right. Never nice singling players out for blame. However, he's not a Thistle player, he's a 6'5 internationalist who's on a four year deal at Celtic. We should expect better. A few on here were quick to single out Sneddon v Morton.
  15. 700!! Where were they all hiding.
  16. No sign of any first team players to be fair.
  17. Don't think you can underestimate how difficult it must've been for a young keeper coming in to a side in such disarray, especially from a defensive point of view. Central defence was changing on a weekly basis and Elliot wasn't quite at his best either. Pretty sure Sneddon would be coping with everything just as well as Hazard is with the current set-up. They are both good young keepers with big futures, but as someone stated earlier, it's not ideal to have two keepers like that as your 1 and 2. Couldve understood an older more experienced keeper coming in but not ideal benching you're own talent in favour of another clubs.
  18. Nope, not just you. Hazard no major improvement on Sneddon. He's just playing behind a solid defence.
  19. Maybe just me, but I was expecting a bit more from Hazard when he arrived, given he's a 6'5" Internationalist on a four-year deal at Celtic. Cracking save yesterday but didn't deal particularly well with crosses and should've done better with shot that lead to penalty. Duffed a couple of kicks too.
  20. Yes,Hazard is definitely more of a presence given that he's about 7 ft tall! However, still not convinced. He never took one cross that came into the box today and poor handling led to the penalty. Couple of scuffed kicks also. Saunders has definitely improved the defence and Mcmillan looked the part today too. Fitzpatrick is getting better with each game he plays. Next week is the real test tho. Last home win v dunfermline was followed up by a poor performance, so important to keep the momentum going this time.
  21. Yeh, definitely something a bit wrong with benching one of your promising youngsters, who's largely done OK since coming in, in favour of developing one of the old firm's. Unless, of course, he turns out to be a major improvement.
