Just clicked back in after a day at work and emsca sums it up well. The guy wasn’t bigging up his own club and rubbishing ours. He just made some general points having interacted with members of our board. I don’t think it’s rocket science to suggest that things aren’t going well at Firhill. 6 months worth of poor performances you could say is a blip. 3 years worth of this rubbish and you have to think it’s more than just the playing side. The players look complacent. There’s no one there to give them a rocket. The fact fox hasn’t kept a clean sheet for god knows how long and is an automatic every week tells you there’s way too much carrot and not enough stick. Nisbet to net on Saturday and a comfortable away win. How many would be surprised at that outcome?

I won’t betray the guys confidence but we just had a general chat about championship clubs and the problems of the game up here in general. He wasn’t running thistle down. Archibald’s return sums up everything that it is wrong with the club. A guy who just stood there with his arms folded who watched us go down with a whimper is now back stood with hims arms folded as we are about to go down another level. The worst thing about it is how bad the standard is in this league. And we’re still the worst of the lot. A team bereft of ability but worse than that organisation, passion, desire and will to win. We have nothing. Fox will start next week. O ware will be marshalling the defence. Dunfermline will won by 2 or 3 next week and that will be that.

What were McCall’s after match comments? I think deep down he knows we’re relegated. I’d almost rather go straight down than scramble into the play offs and go down with a whimper against a team who will be more up for it than our shower. Different level of football obviously but look at Liverpool now they have a top cat in goals. Their defence was a shambolic bag of nerves with that clown Karius in goal. It starts at the back. The rot started for me when Archie was kept at least 6 months if not a year too long. The spineless way we went down in the play offs offering not a hint of a fight meant at the very least he should have been punted then. This is the worrying part for me. After last January’s signings ( macdonald) in particular I never thought we’d go down even with coco the clown in charge. Now I can’t see how we’ll stay up. I can imagine training at thistle being all laughing and joking with the old pals Arthur and Archie probably standing doing nothing. No arses kicked. No collars felt. Fox dropping his cup of tea on the way off the bus. Mitch Austin trying to remember if he’s there to play football or what his actual job title is. Lewis mansell hitting shots into the nearest Bush. Tam o’ware fiddling with his hair. Zanatta making sure he’s got enough aloe Vera cream on his cheeks. Jacqui low sitting in the background somewhere planning our assault on Europe. And IMac stood there thinking “ why the f*** did I leave Ayr”

I’m now the same. Pointless expending the emotional energy in this team of losers. I watch Cowdenbeath now and then and genuinely enjoying watching a team of boys earning nothing but looking like they give everything. Watching thistle just sucks the life out of you and makes me feel genuinely sad. As has been pointed out earlier there is a whole culture of cronyism and softness about the club. Being crap is one thing. Being as weak and ridden with the loser mentality is another thing entirely

I live 25 minutes away from Dundee and couldn’t face going. This is a team and club of spineless gutless losers from top to bottom. Bringing back Archie who is a big part of why we’re now ****** was a joke. Fox is garbage and has always been garbage. These old firm loanees are crap and no use in a relegation battle. The whole club is an utter joke
