I always liked him; one of the old school, always polite, modest, and thought carefully about what he was saying.
He became a kind of "elder statesman" of football in Scotland.
The national team won 32 and drew 18 of 71 games played when he was the manager. Not bad at all!
R.I.P.
In full agreement.
A football man with great distinction.

Selfishly I will be more focused on the October fixtures as I will be in Glasgow for the first time since Covid.
All set to make hotel arrangements on the basis of where we play (wife has been understanding!)

A lot depends on their contracts. Low basic/high appearance rate for instance. I wouldn't imagine one keeper going out on loan with two in the squad against only two keepers and the cost of an emergency loan will differ much. Of course it's possible, tho' unlikely, that neither of two keepers will get injured/suspended. And I'm imagining the host club would be paying a considerable slice of the loanee's wage. Whatever I imagine the cost to budget of a third keeper is marginal.
If that is the case then it would make sense. Just don’t want to have to go without coverage where we need it.

So, what we got as a squad now.
Mitchell
Sneddon
McCreary
McMillan
Milne
Muirhead
Lawless
Bannigan
McKenzie
Lyons
Stanway
Dowds
Graham
Fitzpatrick
Anyone I've missed?
There is a listing of the current contracted squad in the Thistle archive.

While I am glad he signed, I don’t believe we have the luxury of having 3 keepers
Would rather the budget was spent in the outfield.

Seems like a better performance than Saturday ( I didn’t see todays game) & rewarded with a good result. Looking like another Euro qualification.

Well done again and let's hope when we unveil some signings even more get sold.
Much agreement! We need to eclipse last years total - be great to get a 5 - 10% increase

All 4 are big losses. not unexpected but I was hopeful that 1 or 2 could be persuaded to stay. No hard feelings to any of them, there time to make a living is now.
Just added worry that our playing budget is meager.

Speaking of ducking for cover but for me the more black in the kit the better - and yes it has to be black shorts. Stripes definitely not hoops!
Goalkeeper kit looks a tie-die nightmare.

Much better news today
i know many of you are ready to buy your season tickets to indicate your support.
Does anyone know when season passes for streaming will be available for Thistle fans out of the country.
-
While we don’t know what the playing budget will be, do we know what it was the last couple of seasons?
Also how is the manager to put a team together without knowing the budget he has to work with?
-
Need to take some time after that.
we overachieved, scored so many goals, kept a tight defense and then ……..

You watching it live, Cfirejkl ? If so, how are you doing it?
I think it may be on Paramount + in the USA though

No afraid not
be sneaking peaks at the score at Church

Nervous 4,000 miles away
Let’s put them to The sword like we did Ayr

Think I am over excited
I am beginning to think we are favourites

Working yesterday, so what a great feeling finding the full result - 4 zip.
looking forward to “Home & Away part 3”.
We still may end up back in the Championship but seems this season is finishing on a positive streak instead of last season’s whimper.
onward

Are falkirk playing with a full team!
-
No way!!

Now press on!

Not so nevous about this game as I was for Friday night. Partially due to the fact that I don't expect us to make it all the way through given the scale of ties we have to navigate. However I do expect a positive result against Queens - then we never know!
-
3 points covered second place through six.
Our home form was as good as anyone’s, but we lagged behind Dundee in away form.
lMO the killer was the back to back losses at home to Cove and Hamilton when they only had one away win between them. I think Hamilton were rounding into form at that pinpoint though.I’ll take the playoffs though. It will be a tough road but definitely doable.

I fancy our chances against Queens. They threw away the title down the stretch.

First time back at Firhill since Covid………and that’s what I saw!
after the second goal - the 3rd was telegraphed. From there it was just sad.
