  1. Came on to have a rant about the 60th odd minute substitutions but see that Doolan has held his hand up to that one. Threw the game away. Graham and Lawless were still bursting with cup tie energy. Being later in their careers that meant a whole lot more to them and barring an injury both would have done the 90 easy. Martindale couldn't have believed his luck when Doolan ran up the flag and signalled our intensions to defend a lead from the 65th minute. Feel sorry for some of those players who put a shift in for that 2-0 lead. As well as Graham and Lawless, Bannigan had one of his best games and well I could list a few others who didn't deserve to be on the end of that poor managerial decision. I am a great believer that mangers should be sitting in the stands and radioing down their instructions to the dugout as being above the play gives you a better perspective. Maybe if he could have seen it like we can see it he would not have done that. Just watched Camailians video of McInroys goal and what can can you see in the Jackie. Nobody sitting in the first five or six rows at the bottom because the view of the game is crap. Get upstairs Dools
  2. We are all hurting for sure but I want to put a big shout out there to our young jags support. Watching you this last few weeks backing the team in big numbers and not stopping singing from start to end has been one of the highlights of this season. Ok there were a few bams with flares but just a few years ago if you went to Firhill the average age was def creeping past 40. This is the time for fortitude and bloody mindedness. Its an absolute doddle to support the Old Firm but a real supporter goes thru thick and thin. With you lot on board "Thistle" are definitely back and you can hold your heads high and look forward the best league in Scotland, and it isn't the so called Premier. So keep the faith and see you all next season Mona Theestle!
  3. Yep just watched those highlights and love the number of young jags going mental. Spoiled by the Flares. Instant ban from Firhill as far as I'm concerned. Might let you back in if you grow up and go on a safety course. Leave that behaviour to the old firm. Club are right. Got to stamp this out
  4. Scratching my head why QP could only muster 340 fans. Wasn't Firhill their home ground for a while. Isn't Glasgow there home toon. Isn't Ochilview further from there traditional base. Even at Hampden there support is usually 500+ Must really be the telly coverage. Its the only thing I can really think would keep them away.
  5. I see the Partick Thistle taxi news story and the mini bus being used to give a free ride home for the older supporters. Would be good if you could just call Glasgow Taxis or the club and book this normally when the club are not using it. Maybe on a Sunday. I know its probably just a sponsored club bus donated by Glasgow Taxis but would love to turn up at my h*n brother in laws in it or shout up a few other like minded bodies and meet in the Corona and book it to bring us to the match from the Southside like the bus of old.
  6. He,s around you just don't, see him. It's the Camallian effect!
  7. Were don't do corners do we. Must have had about...well I don't know a lot in that second half. My mates all bet on weird stuff like who will have a shot on target or who will get a red card etc, but I bet you would have won a fortune if you could have put a bet on the exact amount of corners we had. But I say that with my reflection on the game. We pummelled them with enthusiasm but lacked a killer touch. I reckon at least 20 corner kicks I think the heavy pitch didn't suit us trying to pass it into the net. But I can't say it was a bad performance or criticise effort. Inverness defended really well. It was also 1-0 not 4-0 so we move on and keep battling for that play-off spot.
  8. But quiet a lot of the time the ball was not getting released quickly enough to Lawless and he had to deal with a few hospital balls. If he gets the ball to his feet earlier he could have been and even better threat
  9. Love it when a plan comes together Got to the stadium to find I had my own private turnstiles for cash payment . Waltzed in while the queue with online tickets was like an execution Pity about the pies or it would have been the Peter perfect day
  10. Just checked in and thanks for that news. A bit of common sense prevails
  11. Followed your lead and sent an email also . Their 40 quid down at the moment and Thistle are short two twelth men
  12. Also the ticketing looks like it is not done by Accies directly but has been farmed out to some other provider called Fanbase. Think I may not bother. Too many layers now. Cash is King.
  13. Is the only way to purchase tickets by registering on Accies fanbase. Is there no pay at the gate anywhere now. Never feel very comfortable giving details especially Accies who got themselves scammed. I mean do I want to be on their database for one visit every so often...eh No Am I missing a link that just allows you to purchase a ticket without registering.
  14. I see there is a news story for a special edition goalkeepers strip. I don't normally even consider buying the goalkeepers top but that is really smart. Love that chevron pattern on the shoulders. Think one of those is going in the basket. Oh can't find the basket. No link on the story to buy it and I don't see it on the Greaves website. Guess it will be up soon.
  15. A few of my last posts were probably the most downhearted I have put on here. I was just fed up with the overall football on show in general. Got to say that I just "enjoyed" last nights match not only from the point of view of a great Thistle performance but for the attitude of both teams. We certainly out-played Inverness but they never resorted to fouling or punting up the park and as a result the game just flowed from end to end. Nothing but ++++ Its that kind of game that will have fans coming back in numbers.
  16. Change it to Bi-lingual Scots/Gaelic please and really noise them all up. .
  17. Can ony say that Abroath not having a chance to play off against St Johnstone without all these playoffs is a complete travesty. This whole 3rd and 4th place having a chance to move leagues just puts me right off football. What a shambles this all is. We never deserved a chance. You should go up on football merit only.
  18. It was a choice of dinner out with the family or catch the game tonight. I think I know why I have only attended one match this season as I really enjoyed my dinner. Stuck the tv on record and have just finished watching the live highlights. Both teams played heedies and kicks and not one player who you would get out of your bed to watch on both teams. Really fed up watching journeyman pros who cant put their foot on the ball and just wish for one player again with a bit of flair and swagger. Normally a team has a star player but I am struggling to think of our last... Kris? Totally indifferent to the result on Friday. Who wants to go up to the Premier league watching this crap. It will be just too painful to endure. I hope Arbroath go up. We need to reset.
  19. Get in there Jags. What are Arbroath all about? Although its the Jags I want top I cant get that wee smile off my face for there success and how it might feel to be one on there lifelong fans. When would be that last time they rode so high? Jags to win the league and Arbroath second would be alright with me.
  20. Link sent to family for Chrissy pressie
  21. Red Card to whomever turned on the sprinklers at half time and then gave our players boots without studs. You'd have thought they were on an ice rink in the second half. Too many useless crosses into the box from the 18 yard area when the simple thing that causes goal threat is too charge quickly to the by-line and cross from there before defenders can get set and our attackers and on the front foot. And can anyone explain the tactic when our goalie takes a by-kick were all 20 outfield players cuddle up in front of the dugout's. With the world of instant wifi communication McCall needs to get himself in the main stand and see the game from the tactical perspective of height. Instructions for subs and on field bolloking can be done by assistant staff. Maybe someone will tell me that the rules state the manager must be in the dugout but I can't imagine they do. PS We wurnae very good
  22. Great start to the season Jags. Flying out the traps FT 3-0
  23. Unfortunately a late goal for killy
