javeajag
Yes please ....you can't separate football from society whether it's Barcelona, Livorno or Milan
danish jag
Never understood why football should be kept separate from rest of society. Never was in the first place.

JaggyMad
This country has been shouting for decades to keep politics out of football, ie...old firm. And rightly so. So no politics even independence politics should be at the football. We all have our opinions, but why should I pay for a season ticket to get shit thrust in my face before and then during the game. Both sides of the referendum should stay away from any sport.
javeajag
Football clubs were often founded for social and political reasons
JaggyMad
So you don't have a problem with the two ugly sisters singing all their political songs and political propaganda?
redandyellowarmy
I wasn't at the game today but stop bedwetting.
JaggyMad
I wasn't at the game today but stop bedwetting. Who's bed wetting? Answered a question and I was at the game and have the right to watch the game without politics shit getting thrown into the mix. If I wanted that I would go to parkhead or Ibrox every week. Barney Rubble
Next Friday night we are first on stage after a certain event the previous day. In the circumstances, do you seriously think that there won't be a political element?
Jaggy1967
Was a bit odd I thought. Seen a number of peeps with yes posters with red n yella stripes . Where did they come from and was there any with No ?

Hankey
This yes partick thistle pish is an abomination. All it does it create the potential for divide.
Richard Nixon
Where was the political element during tne game? No Uh, okay? Anyway peeps, it's hardly something to get worked up about. Regardless of your intentions, the most important referendum there will be in any of our lives is this Thursday. I highly doubt there will ever again anyone around Firhill pushing politics. At least some people thought your opinions mattered this time!

javeajag
There were quite a few thistle fans and others outside the ground before the game with a stall, banners etc etc nothing wrong with that in my opinion
Metz
Not sure how you can liken a legitimate potentially life changing debate to the hatred filled bile that fills both stadia of the old firm.
JaggyMad
Where was the political element during tne game? Some yes posters, some yes saltires and some fans with yes t-shirts. Nothing major, but don't need it at games.
scotty
I didn't see anything pertaining to the referendum at the game today. Thought that maybe a lot of fans were out campaigning instead of going to watch football or maybe they realised that they weren't welcome and decided to do something important instead. Hankey
If it's a no vote, then certainly cannot see any union jacks at our game. Of course there won't because it would cause trouble. Anyone remember the Thistle UF at a cup game down at Kilmarnock a few years ago? That went down a treat.
