Interesting footage from 1976 as the Jags build up to a match.

👍 That's fantastic. Thanks for posting.

Nice to see Ian Archer* a guy I knew quite well. Sadly missed. Passed away far too early as of course did Brian W.

*Just out of curiosity anyone confirm that's the Press Bar in Albion St?

Looks like the press bar to me though I have surrendered many a brain cell within it's homely confines over the years so my memory is always dodgy...

Makes sense. Ian didn't move from the Herald to the Express till a wee bit later. So would likely be still drinking in The Press.

I met Ian before my first Scotland game. Was in the 3 in 1 now Dram on Woodlands Road and he signed his piece in the programme for me.

Ran out of likes. As already mentioned great to see some people sadly no longer with us.

Only negative, Roughie should have put a strip on before his mini training session. :help:

If that is the programme I remember I seem to recall there was some eyebrows raised at the time about the - how can one put it? - “informal dress code”.

I also remember that it did feature the 2-1 game at Firhill against the then Glasgow Rangers ( Somner and Whittaker (last minute!)) - Kenny Watson had opened the scoring for the away side.

Happier times 😬
