Rangers are wanting all his wages covered which is a problem. Also looking at Cammy Smith at Aberdeen. Got told this today from what should be a reliable person. Aberdeen obviously feel he's got potential as he's been a regular sub over the last few seasons.They'll want him to get more game time. Same tho' could be said of Muirhead and that wasn't the greatest of successes. Not always too keen on loanees this end of the season if we don't have a chance of signing them. He seems to have been having a decent season in India - 6 goals in 9 games - although the quality over there is up for debate. Strikers thrive on confidence though so hopefully he'll be able to continue that form. Good that he can play in any of the forward positions too. Law started for Rangers yesterday, can't see why Rangers would let him go. Cammy Smith has never really impressed when I've seen him, looks a bit lightweight aswell, I really like the boy Smith from Aberdeen - very tidy player. Versatile too. Can only deduce you're thinking of someone else because I wouldn't have him down as "lightweight" from any of the evidence I've seen. lady-isobel-barnett Posted February 1, 2016 Report Share Posted February 1, 2016 (edited) Tho' he'll be wearing the No10 shirt perhaps he'll be seen as more as a replacement for Muirhead than Stevenson. A striker that can play wide (or vice versa). Replacing Stevenson or Muirhead isn't that much of a tall order given those two's output in the first half of the season. I hope to be pleasantly surprised by German but even moderately efficient performances will be an improvement. I see Edwards more likely to fill in for Stevenson presuming Erskine stays at Tannadice. To me tho' the squad lacks sufficient depth. However some improvement from Amoo along with both German and Edwards proving to be real successes would make a significant difference. If that was the case and of course with Elliott returning we'd be fine from an attacking point of view at least. Worth bearing in mind we've got a pretty decent XI, so quality is needed over quantity I feel - a 'match winner' type midfielder would be wonderful...
