Jaggernaut
So many at the moment that it's hard to keep up! But.... Ronnie Corbett: a comedy genius. I've been watching The Two Ronnies clips the last few days; so funny and clever. Andy (Thunderclap) Newman: what a brilliant song. That alone merits his place in pop(?) music history. JeanieD
Always liked the gentle, yet often subtley subversive and hugely clever, humour of the Two Ronnies and being of not dissimilar physical stature to Ronnie Corbett naturally made me a fan of his. I hope he is resting in well-earned peace and his family and friends are comforted by the out-pouring of affection due to his passing. As regards Andy Newman - specifically as a member of Thunderclap Newman and more-so "Something in the Air" - great song, a piano break to die for and, as Jaggernaut says above, merits a place in popular music history.
Barney Rubble
Sad to note that all three members of Thunderclap Newman (Jimmy McCulloch, Speedy Keen and Andy Newman) are now rehearsing in the great music studio in the sky.
