Ricky Roughan

Was so saddened to learn of Ricky's passing this morning.

There's many, many people associated with Thistle that knew Ricky much better than I did. People who had the pleasure of working with him on a daily basis.

He was, however, alongside the much missed Chico a near constant during my time with the Club. He was the heart and soul of the place. It's hard to find words to adequately describe just how much he will be missed.

It will be hard not seeing him at the game tonight.

I take comfort from knowing that he's now reunited with his wife and, of course, Chico. The double act is back together.

RIP

Big loss in every way.

Huge character and never one to take himself - or anyone else for that matter - too seriously.

Always liked telling opposition fans he & Chico were our fitness coaches and, sometimes, it looked as though that was true!

The double act resumes elsewhere - hope the Almighty can take a joke!

The posting on the Club website says it all. There's nothing to add but of course a legion of stories surrounding Ricky (and no doubt Chico). Some will remain I'm sure untold.

RIP Ricky

Dreadful news. Ricky and Chico's influence and presence they brought around the place is the type of thing money can't buy. We were lucky to have them involved in our Club.

RIP Ricky.

It just goes to show that a football club is far more than just a supporter, a player or a manager. It is the legends like Ricky and Chico who worked tirelessly behind the scenes and brought so much enjoyment and happiness to legions of players and managers over the years. It is devastating to lose people who were the one constant in Firhill over the past 25 years. You will be missed.

Gosh, that is a shock. Was thinking when watching the highlights of the Killie game that it was great to see Ricky still in the dugout. My sympathy to all his family and many friends.

Just thinking that myself. Didn't know them personally, but Ricky & Chico will forever be fondly remembered at Firhill. Sad news indeed. RIP.
