The Jukebox Rebel
^ Excellent work Fritzy, I'm much obliged to you. To celebrate, here's some lovely stats... Paul Paton won the inaugural award for his performances in August 2012. Although no-one knew it at the time, the legendary Alan Archibald finished his playing career on a high by being nominated in both of his final playing months of December 2012 (which he won) and January 2013. With his win for November 2013, Isaac Osbourne set a unique record of having the greatest nominations to wins ratio - his 3 out of 3 were all gained consecutively in September, October and November that year. Further to his play in April 2014, Kallum Higginbotham set the record for most consecutive nominations (9) and in the process achieved the unique feat of being an ever-present for every single monthly vote in the 2013-14 awards. Kallum became the second man to win 3-in-a-row when he did so in February, March and April 2014. With his win for February 2015, Declan McDaid became the third "one-hit-wonder" i.e. nominated once, won once. He followed on from Freddy Frans (Nov 14) and Gabriel Piccolo (Dec 13). Stephen O'Donnell has most nominations in a single season (8 in 2014-15) without winning an award during the term in question. With his win for April 2015, Conrad Balatoni became the first man to win the award 4 times, and remains the only player to have done so. There were 9 different winners for the 9 awards in 2014-15. With his nomination for February 2016, Stuart Bannigan re-set the record for most nominations (17). Abdul Osman has most nominations (10) without winning an award. With no award for the quiet month of January 2017, a run of 41 consecutive monthly awards came to an end. With his nomination in February 2017, Kris 'steady' Doolan became the only player to have been included in the final votes in every season of the award's history, 5-in-a-row. Lambies Lost Doo
Reading a list of those nominees (for me) it was a real golden period of the club. Great players. Great entertainment. Great times! Love all those guys including Paton who I know rubbed up some people the wrong way when he left but he gave his all playing for the jersey.
