lady-isobel-barnett
Not read this thread but the amount of possession when you play 3-5-2 is likely to be less than normal and of less importance as a statistic. More correctly the reason we're playing that system than the system itself. Also when you get two teams playing 3-5-2 the team chasing the game will probably have more possession. Ideally you'd want to establish a lead and tweak your system to encourage more time on the ball, particularly up the park. But again we're playing that formation primarily from damage limitation reasons rather than it suits our style. It also makes defending deep that harder to avoid but that's a different matter. jagfox
Apparently every time we’ve lined up in that formation this season we’ve won.

Not quite accurate - every game we've won we've played that formation but we have lost some too!
