Wasn’t at the game today, has an Archibald side ever looked that interested in any form of cup game though? Embarrassing, yes, but we should be far more interested in our league form in the coming months.

The time for him to go was Christmas last year, he saved his skin with a couple of good results at that time and the gamble was taken to keep him on. He also could have gone after the play-off.

There’s a real managerial carousel happening in Scottish football currently which it may be best not to be caught up in.

If we aren’t challenging near the top of the league at Christmas this year he should be gone. He doesn’t seem to get the best out of players.

Why should we wait till Christmas? It's patently obvious that he has assembled a poor squad again and can't even get a result against East Fife. Our 2 league wins have come against the poorest Falkirk team for years and a team who lost their manager on the eve of the game. Ayr battered us as did Dundee Utd. There is no plausible reason for keeping him on other than blind faith from his fan club who would still cheer for him even if we ended up in League 2.

A year late.

Zero chance of us to be challenging near the top, at best to be within touching distance of 4th and a playoff, at worst well towards the bottom with him still in a job

I wanted Archibald gone throughout last season, and also after the Livingston play off.

We could end with a very bad candidate at this point in time though.

Perhaps not wait till Christmas then, but probably another 1-2 months.

Everyone needs to remember we were playing on astroturf and half our team werent insured to play.....

If we have assembled a team that has half of it not insured to play on AstroTurf, then that speaks volumes for our recruitment policy and general competence  with a third of our away fixtures being played on that surface

Correct.

We have arguably took a punt on quitongo and bannigans fitness and storer has been described as a wildcard. Add in another guiser not even allowed to play and you have a squad that is fragile at best

So we lost in a diddy cup? Not good. But if it means we can focus on moulding a team for the league?

Get a reality check, we played a few young guys today. It’s not the end of the world (as we know it)

Naw that will be when we're in division one and looking at relegation by Christmas.
