a f kincaid
Are there restrictions on eligibility for this competition? The reserves are at Rugby Park this afternoon. And on the bench we have...Stevenson but no outfield players.
HeWearsNumber9
You have to worry about the Structure of our club right now deeply. Right from the bottom to the top. elevenone
FT 3-1 to Kilmarnock. Callum Wilson getting late consolation for Jags. Not sure on restrictions on eligibility but Killie were playing Frizzel,Mckenzie and Kiltie who have decent first team experience. Thought it could have been a chance to give a few of our names a run out.
One t in Scotland
One sub ( a GK )? Total embarrassment. Pub teams are run better than this shambles. Can't wait to see what f**k up they make with the training ground.
Maestro
I would have thought some of the players thats not had a lot off game time might have featured for a period of time today to get them match fitness i understand Banzo not playing re the surface but to only have a goalkeeper as a sub is embarrasing
Prince of Partick
Totally embarrassing, after Saturdays disaster, surely a lot of our "first team " squad needed a game.
Norgethistle
This also puts a massive burden on the Kids playing with no subs, injuries or knocks where they’d be taken off for precaution or to prevent more damage will have been played through. We have 20 registered 1st team out field players, are all but those 13 used on Saturday injured?

The way it’s been set up , think we’ve got 5/6 signed reserve players signed up , the rest of the team for the reserves are made up either from players from the first team or some of the 18s who don’t get paid at all and aren’t even on expenses contracts. Not sure how they expect commitment from up and coming players if they don’t commit to some sort of recompense. In my opinion unless PTFC don’t take this seriously it just becomes a hobby for some of these young players as they’ve got to earn a living elsewhere, so much for developing young players Training Academy Really ? Footnote, because the 18 s team is supplemented with 15 and 16 year olds , they unfortunately can’t play for the reserve team which is one of the reasons we couldn’t fill the bench today A mess Edited September 10, 2018 by jlsarmy

Take out the 13 who played on Saturday, minus oware and shea gordan who are injured. Leaves 5 take out bannigan and quintongo who wont play as its a plastic park leaves McCarthy - is he fit Storey- missed Saturday Melbourne- missed Saturday as well So no one really missing out I think

That seems very optimistic given that absolutely nothing has started yet on that piece of land

jaf
I have no problem with a slow start and delays to this project. Ofnyoubtecall when it was announced it was said Archie would have input into aspects of this. All his efforts should presently be on performance improvement of the squad and coaching, not design of training pitches.
scotty
I would think that the company paying for this project would be hesitant over whether or not Thistle will be able to afford to use any training facility they build. a f kincaid
Has it not been said somewhere that the club will "rent" or "hire" the facility and that they won't own it directly?
Garscube Road End
If we slide into League One, the revenue stream will dry up and we may not be able to afford to rent it.

lady-isobel-barnett
Might be wrong but I think some of the players go home for a break during the international weekend. Sure most clubs allow for that. That would explain lack of senior players yesterday. Kinda hoping that's the case as opposed to more being on the treatment table. Alan Murray
What first-team players could have played? Sean McGinty could have but who else? Max Melbourne must be injured and we know Storey is. Some people just looking for something to moan about. On a more positive note the young boy in goals pulled off a number of good saves going by the highlights.

jaggyben
Just listened to Gerry’s interview on official site what a croc of shit just cause you keep repeating things doesn’t make it right Our aim is to win the league memo to Gerry we have no chance the way we are at the moment absolutely heads in the sand attitude

If we slip any further down and continue to lose support, how do you think we could do this? Edited September 11, 2018 by scotty
