Woodstock Jag
Correct decision. I wish them both well. I hope they find new jobs in football. We’ll always be grateful for the good times but best for all involved to have a fresh start.
Auld Jag
Genuine thanks to Archie and Paterson for what they have done for Partick Thistle F.C. But I think this is the best thing for both parties.
Lambies Lost Doo
I can understand why. Results have been poor. Performances the same but still absolutely gutted for Archie and Shaggy. Both good men. Both legends. Now out of work. A horrible situation for all.
Fawlty Towers
Thanks guys for everything you did for our club on and off the pitch. Things have not worked out recently but that does not change the good stuff you achieved.
laukat
Correct if not overdue decision. All the best to Archie and Shaggie in the future hopefully they will find employment soon at another club.

That 1 jags fan
Thanks for the promotion top 6 etc. Archie still a club legend but it was time long before this. Now it’s up to Gerry and co. to appoint the right man and get us back up the table. Archie out or Archie in it’s now time to get behind the team and new manager no more splits all together mon the jags.
Gary Peebles Tackle
No idea who will do any better - today we weren’t awful, just lacked cutting edge & lost very u fortunate goals - a ricochet & a dodgy looking penalty. All the best - sad day in my opinion.
AndyMac
Correct decision, sad to see them go, but the game was up. All the very best to you in the future Archie & Shaggy and many thanks for all you have done for Thistle over the years.
its4nothing!
Must be a record. Ross county wins in successive weeks against Dundee Utd and Thistle and both teams managers lose their jobs. Straw that breaks the camels back.
ironfist
Sad day. Time will tell if correct decision. At times we looked decent this season, at others we were poor
elevenone
Had to happen. Guy has a family so never nice but club is more important. Onto next chapter and all the best Archie/Shaggie in your next venture.
Pinhead
Long overdue, i ain't doing cartwheels at their demise but the stale smell was so strong around them both and we were so predictable. what surprised me is people are still making excuses...wake up and realise that you are part of th problem! redandyellowallover
Probably the correct decision, very sad day however.
That 1 jags fan
Credit to Jacki Low she don’t what Maxwell and Beatie failed to do last season.

But unfortunately it had to happen as we have been poor for the last 18 months or so and it did not look as if Archie and Shaggy could turn the form around.
javeajag
Correct decision put off too long .,., thanks for the good memories and all the best for the future
Barney Rubble
Gutted for them both. Never, ever want anyone to lose their jobs. They'd had long enough to turn it round though, and they didn't. Bad enough getting gubbed today, but this makes tonight worse. Best wishes Archie and Shaggy, and many thanks for the many good times. Albert's Ghost
Sad day, but it had to happen. Thanks Archie & Shaggie, for all the good times.
Rid Skwerr
So sorry for Archie and Shaggy tonight. Best wishes to both guys for the future and a big thanks for the Premier league years. It did appear that they had run out of ideas and that a change had become necessary. We can only hope that the next management team has as much feeling for the club as the outgoing pair. Dools to step up anyone?
Big Dan
I echo the sentiments of most on here, thanks to Archie and Shaggy for all their commitment to the Club but it just was not working and there was no sign of this changing with the current management team.

dl1971
Had to happen. Sometimes eras have to end. In the main great stuff but with a heavy heart the footballing gods had turned.
