Didn't play enough games to show what he could do with his left. Another in a long list over the last 10 years of loan players who were either out of their depth and/or never given the chance . Melbourne, Jefferies, and Scobbie must have played less than three league games in total Lennox, Mutombo, Ntambwe and Coulibaly are either injured or half fit. Must be something other clubs look at when loaning out players. Pretty unlucky with O'Ware and Gordon who both looked good in patches of the early games. If we made a mistake bringing in the likes of Melbourne then West Brom made an even bigger mistake loaning him to us. Therein maybe lies the problem as we have to take the parent club's assessment of the player more or less as gospel. Not saying it necessarily in this case but while we maybe know about the lad's potential and where he is on the road to realising it, we're likely to be in the dark re his maturity, attitude etc. Sense tho' we tend to be dealt too many wild cards.
