Ok - The Chairman dedicated a large chunk of her State of the Nation address on Finances - she made statements - therefore she put it into the Public Domain for discussion - in those statements there was emphasise on the amount of Money we received from Relegation and the fact we don't have a Sugar Daddy

I have pointed out that we received circa another £350K from EUFA Money which for some strange reason wasn't mentioned ? Also that her actual statement doesn't say Colin Weir doesn't Fund us in an ad hoc basis - therefore the reasonable question is why make a big play on both of these issues but only give out a version of information _ Im not "looking for holes" they are there - simple straightforward and I didn't make a big play trying to talk up how Financially astute the Board - so if they are going to make statements then its reasonable to ask questions

You think it was strange I think she wasn’t going into every financial detail

YOU are making a big issue of what she didn’t say

But you are not asking questions, at least not to anyone who can give you any answers. It just comes over as finding something else to moan about

As you appear to have some sort of grievance and would presumably like it resolved, can I politely suggest that you direct your questions to someone who can give you answers. The clubs email contacts are easy to find

He wouldn’t believe any response anyway.

There’s known knowns, known unknowns and unknown unknowns to quote some American politician a few years ago.

What makes you say that Falkirk are  where they are because of cash flow ?

Any chance Jordanhill Jag can answer this question I asked him?

Nope dont have a grievance - Im pointing out gaps so that fans have the full picture - in my opinion fans should be careful attention as to how there club is being run / I accept Im possibly a minority of one - but the issues Ive pointed out gives a different slant to the statement

That Colin Weir does not back us financially which in fairness was the clear impression the statement alluded to but it doesn't actually say that ...

That’s your opinion mine was different

Do you know differently for a fact?

If so ,say so rather than skirt round the issue with suggestions and innuendo.

If Colin Weir has provided some additional ad-hoc funding on top of funding the Weir academy- great.!!

What were the Board supposed to say when offered it " No we better not take that Colin- it might upset some chap from Jordanhill"

However just like a supermarket, Partick Thistle FC is first and foremost a business. It therefore has responsibility to directors, shareholders and investors which make it totally inappropriate to discuss any financial details in a statement like this. Imagine if Tesco told their customers about their revenue streams before informing the Stock Exchange, there would be uproar and possibly legal implications.

If you want details of the revenue streams, goto the last audited accounts. They shouldn't be hard to find.

As someone earlier said, short of giving a full list of everything that Partick Thistle FC have NOT done you will be looking for holes. That's fine, you have made your point, but it is not going to happen

Nonsense. It is entirely open to a business to conduct itself and to declare its sources of revenue to a level of detail beyond that strictly required by the Companies' Acts.

Partick Thistle is not "first and foremost" a business. It absolutely is a business and should be run prudently like a business. But that is not incompatible with enhanced transparency to its key stakeholders as to the basis for its underlying financial stability.

And, let us not forget, the fans are one of the Club's major shareholders, yet have been denied, systematically, direct representation on the Club's Board for well over a decade. We are not getting the proper benefits to which a major shareholder would ordinarily be entitled even if it was considered prudent not to disclose detailed financial arrangements fully into the public domain.

I personally think that if the club is reasonably believed to be dependent upon one or two major benefactors, and it is not possible to discern precisely to what extent and in what ways on the basis of a very high-level set of Annual Accounts, we as fans are entitled and obliged to question broad claims of Board members that the business is running well as a going concern.

You don't. Fine. That way lies the insolvency events of recent past.

61% wages to turnover in the relegation season seems prudent on a financial level...

You seen the Spurs figure? They're absolutely killing it.

I think the concern will be far more about what our figure looks like for this season just passed than for the one before. Big drop in turnover, but not clear there was a commensurate big drop in wages.

There is an article in the business insider, posted on Linked in today that all 42 clubs in Scotland have been given a financial clean bill of health.

I guess we must be hiding stuff from them too ?

That is based on last years accounts if you read it.  The last 12 months for us or any other club have not been filed at Companies house yet nor are due to till October

It's scary to imagine how many hundreds of posts you'll make when you DO have a grievance.
